I was playing version 9 and now that I have 11 ... Wow what an improvement. I really enjoyed 9 but this new version is fantastic, it's well worth the asking price if you enjoy PC baseball, stats and decision making. New audio puts you right in the ballpark and the interface is smooth and looks very good. Full customization of teams logos, colors and name appearance in game. photos look great (not included) and I can't wait to get a full season started ! Options for game play including auto dice rolls, hide auto dice rolls to just look at play by play and manual dice rolls if you like a board game feel. Again if you love baseball I highly recommend this game. Thanks for creating it !
This is my first time purchase of Digital Diamond Baseball, I am very impressed so far. I easily added in photos and logos and have started a season replay. Looking forward to playing this for a long time. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes Baseball.
In my opinion this game has come a long way over the past couple of versions. There are so many fun things you can do with this game. That includes playing out games using the built in Statis-Pro Baseball game and board game companion or using any C&D game on your tabletop and DDBB as a scorekeeper with the board game companion. And of course the base game itself which is a good simulation of baseball in it's own right. I will not say that this is OOTP, the two games scratch very different itches. What I will say is that for the first time in 20 years I looked more forward to the release of a baseball sim that wasn't OOTP. That being DDBB. The board game companion sort of put this game on the map for many in the C&D community, but don't sleep on it as a baseball simulator, it does a good job there as well... Still to me, this game shines as a C&D companion. And it comes with seasons back to 1927, no extra charge unlike some other games in this genre. That being C&D companion.
best board game companion I've ever used. took my gaming to a whole new level.
very nice set up flows very well and the addition of Statis Pro wonderful now I just have to remember how to play Statis refresher course here I come :-)
I have just moved my 1964 replay (in August) over to V11 (how 'bout those 70 -40 Cincinnati Reds!) and the creator has done it again -- made the best historical baseball sim (not named OOTP) even better. The biggest and best improvement is absolutely the game screen layout, the best use of screen space for a baseball sim I've seen. It includes a lengthy stat line for both the pitcher and batter, and in between (if you wish) are continually changing graphs showing for example a player's OPS by month, a road/home graph etc. The only concern is the game going perhaps too far in accommodating those nitwits who actually use this excellent sim to just import stats from some laughable D&C game from waaaaaaaaaaaay back. . . Losers!
so far so good. and as I keep playing I find more add-ons or ones that I may have missed in previous Versions. This game just keeps getting better and better. You definitely get your money's worth. I may be slow playing the next couple of months but I am in the process of moving all my Ballstat stats and scorecards over to the Boardgame Companion. I already know people people will go to Mark and ask for different P-B-P to be added. But He's got a Stat's editor that will be perfect. This has become a blossom that is well on it's way to be a full blown flower.
Great game for introducing dice baseball to new players of all ages. While managing our teams, we manually roll our own three 10-sided dice and input the results. Very fun way to play! There are so many ways to play this game. It's a great addition to my Steam Library. With the addition of Statis Pro in Digital Diamond; this game is a must buy! That means you must buy it! You can go back in time and play Nolan Ryan vs Dave Parker in a battle of the greatest pitcher vs the greatest hitter of all time! Plus, you can input tabletop results from any game you play. It's just a great game and very relaxing.
Fantastic game in it's own right. The inclusion of the Statis Pro cards and the Board Game Companion make this exceptional.
A solid replay baseball game.A DMB player that is switching over. Thank you ; Don
