Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8/day in the week to Sep 14 → 7.4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It doesn't get any more generic and japanese-y than this even by JRPG standards.... The start is average and then out of nowhere you catch a digimon that you spend the entire dungeon chasing but the plot twist is that digimon now evolves into a "young cute boy" with "animal legs" and saves you from the boss and will now properly play a major part in the story. I honestly closed the game at that point.
first off the game isnt bad. i bought the delux edition on sale and expected cyber sleuth with better graphics which is exactly what i got. the problems i have with the game are 1st: that despite me buying the delux edition i still had to buy the pre-order bonus dlc to unlock the black agumon and black gabumon evolution lines. 2nd: while there are more digimon than in cyber sleuth/hackers memory several that were in other games are not present in time stranger. the 4 sovereigns are missing and so are boltboutamon, ogudomon and zeed-millenniummon (despite millenniummon being in the game). also mastertyrannomon, dinomon, spinomon and many others that have been out for years are not to be found in this game and probably will never be added. then there is the entire arcadiamon line that isnt in the game either. 3rd: that someone thought it was a good idea to lock fusions behind specific personalities while removing personality switch items that were present in cyber sleuth. and the main reason why i cant recommend this game despite the qol improvements and larger roster is because cyber sleuth complete edition with 2 complete story modes is on steam for 40 bucks while time stranger even at a discount for the delux edition and pre-order bonus dlc is still 65 bucks. if people want to play a modern digimon game without breaking bank just buy cyber sleuth complete edition. when its on sale it goes down as low as 20 bucks while having at least the same amount of content if not more than time stranger.

This was my first experience with the digimon franchise and I have to say I was disappointed. The into/tutorial alone takes over six hours to complete with less than one hour’s worth of gameplay included. The gameplay itself is a mix of pokemon and persona which I enjoyed, plus the digivolution was easier to understand than expected! The characters were all archetypes you’ve seen hundreds of times before that explain every thought and emotion out loud to you. While I enjoy a good story in a game, when the plot is entirely tell and not show the game feels boring and seems to be treating you like a child. Overall, the high price tag and less than stellar writing make this game worth skipping.
The core gameplay and the story is at least great, but I'm not sure about its monetization, like too many dlcs which seems to be planned before the base game was released, so I'm not sure about recommending it, but because Steam doesn't have middle option then I selecting that I'm recommend it. At least I recommend it you get it on a big discount or if you really like the game if you have disposable income at least for the base game after trying out the demo version. I played it while it had Denuvo DRM, which seems it didn't impact performance at least for this game, but it was only one game which I played while it had Denuvo DRM. However there were some instance that I wondered if it's Denuvo DRM fault, or game's fault or my system fault. Like long loading time here and there and game freezing for a short while in a specific sections. However now the game got free update Denuvo DRM also was removed, so I could check if performance was improved or not, or maybe I noticed it or it was just my mind playing tricks, or I just didn't had extra software (like OBS) opened which improved the performance. But I would need to replay the game to get to the freezing part to see if it still freezes or not. About the free update, sure now you can check digivolution requirements from digifarm, but you still need to take Digimon outside from it to digivolve. And the photo mode is connected to the camera source for the area, for example it still is as third person camera when it is third person camera while moving.
