this game... is ass. I usually like these kinds of games no matter how bad they may seem, but- this one. is different. more than 60% of the upgrades straight up didn't matter. stamina in this game felt good at first, but later, upgrading it seemed redundant. pets.. eh. not very efficient. never used a teleport. cuz the game is SO SHORT, I DIDN'T NEED ONE! the sudden power spike is just radical, like, at first, you mine ultra slow for 10 minutes, after that, boom, you're unstoppable, in fact, i was struggling to get back scouring between ores just to make a way out. i mean, this part is fine, but like, balance the game more. i know it's a solo indie dev game, but like, and? try harder. glad there wasn't any microtransactions though, at least this one saved a bit of my sanity... so.. I was having fun for like, idunno, 5 minutes after the powerspike, after that, nothing. though the huge amounts of ore made me feel slightly angry. so yeah, balance your game, dev, hope your coding skills would allow you to make a better one!
They named this "Diggin It" because "What If AI Slop Was A Game" felt a bit too on the nose. If you thought you were getting a charming little game similar to "A Game About Digging A Hole" you'd be wrong. This game has zero sense of discovery or even a semblance of being a game. The progression is doesnt scale right. The cat and dog helpers dont path at all, they just walk through the air and walls and everything else in a dead straight line. The only upside, if you want to call it one, is that you're only out $1.59 if you accidently bought it.
I enjoyed my 43 minutes of playtime, although I will admit I tried rushing it to the end, so thats probably why it ended so fast. Other than that, I don't like how theres very obvious use of AI in the description of the game, but the silly sounds and other things in the game make up for it. If u cant afford $2 then u have different problems.
If u wana kill 2 hours worth it but sadly thats it hopfully there will be more
Excelente juego. Divertido y sencillo.
Cute little experience, about 2 hours to the end. You can definitely see the inspiration this took from the plethora of similar digging and incremental type of games. It is a bit rough around the edges, the moment I saw the cat/dog just walk straight into the wall only to emerge a few seconds later is borderline hilarious (this can lead to some unexpected jump scares when they suddenly pop out right infront of you while mining). Also, the vast amount of ores makes me wish there was an upgrade that affects the pick-up radius (or similar). As it is now every piece of ore needs to be picked up one-by-one and you can easily get stuck by some floating pieces if you're not careful. I can clearly see this being a small passion project. Would love to see some more polish and fine-tuning! ⛏
fun but short game
