There are no decisions to make in combat which is 99% of the game. I didn't check the reviews due to 'mostly positive' score but that was a mistake. In combat you roll your dice. Then you HAVE to reroll ALL dice. Then you do the actions that were on the dice. And that's it - there are no decisions to make, no choices, no strategy. A single battle with first enemy took me about 25 minutes due to high enemy blocks and healing and low damage on my part (warrior). It seems the only choices in the game in total are to: add an item (dice) to your pool and optionally remove a dice from the pool. It's like an auto-battler but it's not auto - you have to do the clicking...
So first off, I want to say I know the game just released and it can still be a bit rough around the edges but I enjoyed my first playthrough. I agree with some of the other points people said about saving and such but my particular issue might not affect a lot of people. I bought the game and played it on my Steam Deck and while the game is fully playable without needing any special work-arounds, there is an issue with optimization for Steam Deck. There are currently no ways (as of about 12 hours ago) to adjust the resolution, aspect ratio, etc. Certain textures are fine and others are very blurry or have too many artifacts. FOr example, while in the main battle menu, the left side of the screen gets cut off and you can't see how much money you have. The icons are also hard to make out, especially ones next to your avatar (like the shield break, etc). Icons under the avatar are not as hard to see but still need optimization. The rest of the icons like Dice Pool and especially Equipment also suffer similar fates. Though the log is perfectly fine and readable. Inside the Dice Bag, the right side of the screen gets cut off instead of the left for some reason. Icons and text are a bit easier to see here so I know the original textures and images aren't low resolution. They just don't scale or render appropriately on various screens for Steam Deck. I'm aware I'm asking for fixes to an indie game for a console that is almost impossible to find right now so I'm not expecting miracles but I wanted to still point these out in case the devs are able to address these seemingly easy to fix issues in an upcoming patch. I included the link to a few screenshots since there doesn't seem to be a way for me to post attachments on the review page or the forum. Overall, fun game so far and good entry-level price. I just would like to see these issues possibly addressed. If the devs need to see more screenshots of other screens from the Deck, please let me know. If so, an e-mail I could send them to would be much easier than trying to make Google Drive links. wayyy tooooo slow need speed up and the enemy pics looks better than your characters lol. you just click over and over the table to roll dice then click available skills the dice gives you, only good part the arrow auto shoots so you don't need to click icon and waste time. if you are not sure the game size is small so just download it and try it, you'll be clicking to roll dice over and over again. it's like a auto battler game your influence over the game is poor 5/10
The game is very short and simple. The problem is that there are balance issues that make the game disgustingly aggravating. Monsters have invisibility and paralyse and when used, you can't hit them. The problem is that some monsters have so much of it that every single round is them hitting you and you doing nothing. Some even have potions so that if you get a rare hit, the immediately heal. You can sit there for hours trying to fight and get nothing done. Every now and then you can visit the shop. There are only a few useful items and it will require you doing ALT F4 /reload over and over again until you get the item you need. At the start of each battle is a dice roll to see who goes first. If the monster goes first, you need to ALT F$/reload and try again because most skills only work if you go first.
My Experience While Dice & Dungeons is clearly a low-budget production (the art style seems to vary from one enemy to another), it hooked me and didn't let go until I'd completed all of the game's achievements. I enjoyed the strategic layer of deciding which dice to add to my pool and which to remove. What distribution ensures that I'll get at least one copy of a certain symbol in each of my rolls? How can I maximize how many magic attack symbols I receive? I also appreciated that the game isn't a roguelike, and find it tiresome that so many games are these days. Sometimes I'd lose to a boss in Dice & Dungeons on my first attempt, only to then try it again with the exact same dice pool and win. I might've lost initiative during my first attempt, or I was just unlucky with my rolls. However, there are certainly some issues with the experience:

The Invisibility and Paralysis effects are far too strong. If a character casts Invisibility on themselves, the entire turn of their opponent is essentially negated and all of their attacks will automatically miss (although they can still gain health or gold). If a character casts Paralysis on their opponent, the opponent's turn is entirely negated (they can't perform attacks of any kind, gain health, or gain gold). Perhaps the effects wouldn't feel overpowered if they were more rare, but both myself and my opponents were often able to cast one of these effects five turns in a row. Solutions to this issue might be reworking the dice for some of the items so that the effect is more rare, or making Invisibility cancel only the first attack by the opponent (no matter what it is) and making Paralysis cancel only the first action taken by a player (no matter what it is).
Although you can acquire essentially whatever dice you desired due to how much money the Rogue is able to make, each of his battles feels like a war of attrition. He has no damage specialty like the other classes, and so things move a lot slower. I would highly recommend not using the Rogue to pursue the "Enemies with 200% life !" achievement.
I didn't often find loot that I wanted for whatever build I was trying to create. This didn't bother me overmuch, but it did feel silly to exclusively decline all the "treasures" I kept finding. Luckily, the Tradesman shows up at regular intervals.
I can still recommend Dice & Dungeons despite the issues I noted above, though it would be a better experience if a few things were slightly altered. It can play a bit slowly, so I would definitely recommend going into the options menu and maximizing the dice roll speed as soon as you can.
Played on Steam Deck. There is a completely functional game here on a technical level, but nothing about the experience is good. Lacking in just about every area. Just look at it... =/ One Deck Dungeon is what this game was trying to be.
Had to refund it. "Just" manipulating the dice bag doesn`t do it for me. Might be your game though.
The game is pretty confusing to learn.
Super! Macht Spaß!!
