Galidon is a vampire kingdom. You’re a lawful heir. The power struggle and an intriguing plot are in place. 21 levels contain quests and crafting. The gameplay is rapid, bloodthirsty and intransigent and doesn't forgive a single mistake. Devoid of Shadows is a heat in the chill dungeons of the Labyrinth!

This game basically plays and feels like it is at least 20 years old and it would have been a mediocre game even back then.
Its good fun like diablo but with vampires!
It's okay, what makes it okay is that it's devoid of letting you save when you'd like, otherwise the game isn't too bad.
Devoid of Shadows is an Action-RPG dungeon crawler with an unusually tight isometric camera for the genre, that is made by a very small team; a fact which pretty often shows. As a game, it is a mostly complete package, but only for a budget title. It has no key differentiating features; with perhaps the crafting system being the only candidate, it would be a minor one. I don't think there's much here for most players unless they're RPG collectors, or fans of vampire chic. You start the game by entering a Diablo 1-style labyrinth inside which you spend the entire game, and into which you progress ever deeper. The dungeon is samey as there exist only two biome/tileset types, which, while different from each other, make up the whole game. Much of the sound including atmospheric is the same across the biome types. The quality of the soundscape is also low, basically amounting to stock sound effects thrown in place. Graphics are average and inconsistent in aesthetic and quality. The heavy use of the Unity asset store means some of the game looks out of place, especially with regards to enemy character models, but at times also lends some of the game a higher standard of execution. This though is then let down by the standards of incorporation and the inconsistent quality of the store assets. That said, nothing seems overtly out of place, or perhaps you just get used to the level of inconsistency and it becomes almost a flavour. The gameplay is pretty poor. Visually it's OK, with the animations all being fairly well made, but the overall execution and style is pretty floaty and high on the jank. Balance is very bad. Some skills don't work. My one playthrough with the Rogue basically amounted to doing one of two things. Either kiting one or two enemies at a time and then waiting for an all-important health-regen mechanic to allow me to return to combat, or throwing a craftable bomb to either 1-shot or 2-shot everything on screen. Enemies are dotted around in packs of 2 to 10, and it was impossible for me to take on more than 2 at once unless they were very low level. The one unique factor the game has is a crafting system which is somewhat deep and is used to create better weapons, better crafting capabilities, and combine ingredients. Slain enemies will drop craftables and ingredients. "Forge points", let's call them, are acquired through farming craft resources on the map by breaking barrels or mining stone. Forge points allow you to upgrade your forge, to be able to make better weapons, armour, potions (for bombs too), scrolls (magic), and jewelry. Choices must be made as you can only upgrade about 50-70% of it over the course of one playthrough, and that's being somewhat thorough. It's OK I guess? It's pretty generic too but it was somewhat neat. If the game has any killer feature, it's got to be this. It's not helped any by the UI through which all of it plays. Inventory management is terrible, with you frequently needing to empty a smaller "backpack" inventory into a larger "stash" by manually clicking items and dragging them ONTO their respective item in the stash if you don't wish to completely ignore drops. Something like 80% or more of this game seems to basically be made up of the Unity asset store. This fact means the game is somewhat well made and modern, but also very generic. Most of the good things about the game come from the artists who made the original assets, and little of it has been tailored specifically for the game with one area as a major exception. The 3 main characters that make up the player classes seem to be the largest contribution of the game's developers in the graphics and sound department, but at least in the Rogue's case, that is also something like 80% or more the work of an asset store author, via a prominent "Adventure/Fantasy" asset package. There are couple of animated voiced cutscenes. There is some average quality text lore delivered across the playthrough. There is a second development studio in the intro reel, and this studio seems to be responsible for the particle effects that are used around the game. So, all in all, this game is very generic. It doesn't qualify as shovelware because the level of depth and effort put in exceeds what that category can tolerate. In the game's heyday, it caused a controversy as a result of being perceived as shovelware, but subsequent efforts on the part of the developers proved that not to be the case. The skill level and total amount of development is just low for what the game appears to be. In one way, this game represents kind of the promise of the Unity Asset Store realized. These developers either didn't know how to make the game or couldn't really do it themselves, but they didn't let that stop them. Which is kind of a laudable achievement in its own way. I would vote this game up, but much of what's good in it is not actually unique to this game, so I'm not confident about that. This is thumbs down with a slight recommendation. If you like vampire crap, (very) indie games, or the Rogue's butt, you might pick it up on sale. This is a sale game for sure but I think it's not completely terrible. It's on the pretty low end of average.
It looks good from the screenshots but it really isn't. The game runs badly and controls terribly
Relies on random drops to craft equipment. I killed every monster for 4 floors and couldn't upgrade my dagger. Instant fail.
