You play Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT specialist who's been handpicked to oversee the defensive needs of one of America's most experimental biotechnology firms. When a black ops team breaks in and kills the very scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes.

Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

I haven't played a lot of FPS, but I think this is a really good one. What I like the most about it is the quality of storytelling in this game from the Deus Ex series. It's a surprisingly well-balanced story, I think, with an almost literary sense of depth of character in the game's roleplaying elements. The gameplay is great too, It all fits together really well. Not having been familiar with the Deus Ex franchise, my first impression was that the FPS mechanics may have seemed a little clunky - at least, when trying to complete the first session, with
a hand-held stun projectile weapon that had no kind of sights
lol. Maybe it was too easy to overthink it though, honestly. After some time in game, it was easy to adapt to. There have been later times when I've wished that that same weapon was in the inventory.
(I'm not playing for the pacifist achievement, I just like how that style of gameplay works out technically, when not trying to wake all the neighbors lol.)
After about ten hours in, I'm very well impressed with this Deus Ex game. If I could offer any advice for anyone who hasn't played this one before, my first thought: After entering
Derelict Row
, be ready for a relentless session. I think that the game's roleplay scripting here is great, although it's quite a long run from there right into the next area with no break in the city. I'm writing this review while still working on getting through the second area of the two. I love how they handled this area transition though
- even capturing details like communications traffic between the VTOL pilot and the Detroit air traffic controller
lol. Maybe it could seem a little corny, I think that it's a surprisingly well-placed sort of literary element though, and the voice acting is great. I appreciate the level of storytelling in this game. With this edition of the game, there's a video about the game's production, bundled under the Extras menu. I think that this commentary has actually contributed positively to the game experience. I'm glad to see there are these games from developers daring to go outside of the FPS mainstream. They've done so really well with this series. In one of the details that I find particularly interesting about the gameplay implementation, I think that the radial menu for primary/secondary and consumables selection is really pretty nice. (It was a few hours, before I'd found that feature lol, playing with an 8BitDo X-box style controller with Steam on Linux, audio enhanced using Jamin with PipeWire's JACK audio emulation) This radial menu doesn't leave the player guessing over loadouts. It's not long before all of the inventory slots can be available, moreover, along with all the primary and secondary alternatives. Altogether, I think it's been a really positive break from a certain long-running looter shooter series that I won't mention here lol. No hawk-vultures were harmed in the production of this comment. It's also a game that really stands well on its own. Maybe they'll reprise the series sometime. It's a fun play session, meanwhile.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

трижды заваренный шедевр, да старенькая, но мне и по сей день приятно видеть эту графику и общую стилистику/атмосферу проекта
Lots of Aliasing and shimmering, and the build-in Edge AA, FXAA, and MLAA makes little difference. Tried applying msaa using NVIDIA Profile Inspector & sweetfx through reshade, doesn't work at all
The word "Deus" defies all laws of language to me for some reason. Cool game though.
I liked the story, good protagonist. Gameplay is fun but sometimes tedious. I liked the choices you can make when talking to people I wish there was more.
Es ist ein Meisterwerk.
For a game it's great. The plot, while cheesy at times, ask very interesting questions and shows a unique perspective on cybernetics technology. Perhaps it's better in the philosophy department than in actual plot-plot, since the characters are not great with a few exceptions, and the endings straight up suck. The gunplay is fun, it's a cover shooter and the cover system is very well implemented. The negotiation system is the best in any game I've played. The dialogues are randomized but in a way that I didn't notice it before reading about it online. It's possible to always guess what you need to say, but it's not always easy. It turns every negotiation into something in the middle of a puzzle and a battle - exactly what it should be. Stealth is fun, you have a lot of tools in hand, but vents are way too OP, which kinda makes you miss the entire level design just by going through a vent. The art style is very unique. I love how the cities look in this game. It's also nice that the game takes you to China, adding a non-Americanocentric brick to worldbuilding. For an immersive sim, it's not that great. The game rewards you for stealth and not-killing. Many abilities are essentially a power fantasy and are just not very interesting. Many interactive elements were simplified-out of the game, making it more shallow than the original Deus Ex in this regard (you can't destroy doors for example). TLDR: The game is more of an action rpg than a sandbox immersive sim like OG Deus Ex, but other than that it's better in every way (yes, even the story).
First game I've platinumed on Steam. Amazing immersive gameplay, story, weapons, stealth mechanics, and side quests. Very stylish cyberpunk world and Jensen is an awesome main character. One of the best immersive sims I've played.
Where I started the franchise, years after its release. Still holds up to near modern games. Very respectable outside its time. Satisfying mechanics. Feels precursor to Cyberpunk in some ways. Also reminiscent of both fallout and dishonored.
