Otimo jogo pra testar a mente e intuição super divertido e engraçado 10/10
Très sympa, très amusant, j'aime beaucoup le style graphique du jeu. J'ai vu qu'il y a une suite et je compte y jouer prochainement. Ce jeu est très bonne surprise.
I played Tangle Tower first and so playing backwards in a series is always a little clunky but it wasn't all too bad with this game. The movement is really the only thing that bugged me. You have too many buttons to move rooms I think. Now! The positives! The puzzles are fun and different. I love them all and none stuck out to me as being too difficult or too easy. The animated cut scenes that appear every now and again are nice and I like the art style/identity this game has. The voice acting is so great. The characters are charming. I especially like Sally in this game. And along with the charm, the game and characters are very witty and there are so many great jokes. And the important part: the mystery. It was super fun to unravel without anything outlandish. I think this series does a great job of lining up dominoes to knock them down at the end. I liked the ending a lot.
Buen lore en el juego,
aunque si es verdad que la parte de la tienda de campaña es super complicada por la cara
. Para su precio normal no merece la pena ya que 8€ por un juego que dura 3h no es muy rentable. Si lo ves en descuento está bastante god.
I played Tangle Tower last year and based on its quality decided to get this prequel -- then promptly forgot about it. Now that the newest title in the series is out, I thought I should finally play the first game (and giving The Mermaid Mask time to be patched). The first Detective Grimoire turned out to be a short game (~ 2 1/2 hours) on the easy side, but fun all around with excellent voice acting and intriguing characters. I finished it in one sitting. It's good. And now I am mentally ready to play the latest entry in the series. Note on the original Linux port of the game: I only got a black screen, but switching to the Windows version and letting Proton handle the rest solved all problems. Since the game is from 2014, it's not really all that surprising that whatever was used to make it work on Linux 12 years ago might no longer work (since soooo much has changed).
Lovely little point and click game. I have palyed Haunt the House, which is made by the same developers, so I had high hopes for this series. I'm happy to say that my expectations have been met, the artstyle is that wonderful, whimsical, and simplistic one of Haunt the House, and the voice acting is great. I'm glad it kept a lot of its charm from its flash game days. A lovely game with good puzzles, excited to play the next one in the series.
Such a wonderful little experience, a very pointed mystery with great voice acting.
decided to finally go through this whole series with the release of The Mermaid Mask and i'm pleased so far! Detective Grimoire is a cute little lighthearted (if you can look past some of the murder) detective point n click that is definitely a bit rough in a way that harkens back to the late flash era (no surprise given it was published by Armor Games, which i did not know was ever anything other THAN a flash game website. also - did not know that this technically was preceded -7 years before its release- by a DG flash game. the more you know!) but that does not get in the way of the experience reaaaally. the characters and writing and presentation are the big highlights. the Detective Grimoire world is fun to exist in and i really like the art style the series introduces here and sticks to to this day. there's a very fun almost caricatural style to the character art i really vibe with. the mystery is fun, if maybe a little too easy to figure out yourself, but hey, it's a like, 2 hour long long story. the puzzley puzzles are pretty bog-standard things that you see in games all the time but i did really like the more detective-y logic puzzles where you finish sentences and "challenge" your suspects. overall just a very satisfying package, especially for something that routinely goes on sale for 2ish bucks.
Short and sweet detective game. Finished the whole game in about 3 hours. Although it's short, I got it on sale for about $1 so you can't beat that. The characters and story are intriguing, and I think the voice acting helped a lot with that. Definitely play if you are into those short detective/puzzle games (Duck Detective, Little Problems, etc). On to Tangle Tower!
this is an okay little nugget. worth exploring if youre a fan of the series. but it is feeling like a clunky prototype now with TT and MM out and polished.
