Destructivator 2

Just getting into this game and its awesome so far. I would love to have a Dodge/Roll move added as it would add a lot to momentum and flow

Very interesting 2D arcade game, it seems be simple but it's pretty addictive. Lots of different enemys and the introduction of the ships give a varied game. Great music too. I hope they do a 2nd part where you could shoot below and get other weapons.

Holy cow!!! If you love retro gaming, this is the game for you! Destructivator 2 captures the very essence of what it means to be "retro"! Great pixel art, tons of action, and crazy difficulty! Unlike a lot of patty cake games today, games back in the day didn't hold your hand, give you a trophy and a popsicle, pat you on the back, and say "good job" No sir! They kicked you in the teeth, stomped you while you were down and wouldn't let up! All of that made you tougher and made it feel sooooooo good when you finally beat the game! If you want hours of fun and a true retro "golden age of gaming" experience, then you MUST get Destructivator 2! I'm an indie game tester, and this is one of the best I've played!

Pug Fugly would benefit to make an easier mode in all of their games, so gamers can replay the game with a higher difficulty. Pug Fugly games are fun, some may say challenging, but an easier mode in Alien Death Mob and Destructivator 2 would help them sell more copies. Very responsive controls. Arcade shooter, although not twin stick. Alien Death Mob by Pug Fugly is better, cheaper, and is twin stick. Overall, a worthy pickup on sale.

In my case, its now obscure titles for the PC like Megarace, Halloween Harry, Under a Killing Moon or Air Wolf that all bring back memories of my formative years in gaming. And recently I happened across a game that seems to amalgamated alot of the spirit of those titles, and even meshes a few of the genres together. released on the 2nd April 2020 by Pug Fugly Game, Destructivator 2 is a platformer shooter that is unrelentingly 90s throwback in execution, available on Steam right now for £4.79. Action. Explposions. Gunfire. More explosions. Hordes of evil dudes and mega bosses vs a solo hero hell bent on saving the world. And lastly, EXPLOSIONS!!! If you have a hankering for the days of "shoot first, shoot more and if you have bullets left then you've not shot enough" then this game is right up your alley. But the question is when you do pull the pin on this grenade of a game, does it blow you away, or does it fizzle out worse than a Segal straight to DVD release. Let's find out. This is my review, of Destructivator 2.

It's fine. Extremely simple, a little clunky, but good music and a lot of levels.

It's good. Shoot bad guys, don't get killed, repeat until you get them all, go to the next level, shoot more bad guys, etc. Compared to the original, this has more environmental hazards (in some levels they're much more dangerous than enemy fire) and some shmup levels, but it feels similar, in a good way.

Pure action-fueled 90's style platformer. The characters are tiny, which is really cool as it gives a larger picture of what's going on. Starts fast but it's easy to play, with simple and easy controls and good maps that don't overcomplicate.

Loved the original. Very glad the sequel has the same fast & precise control with added complexity & polish.
