Desktop Dinosaurs

It's a cute first run at a game, but needs a lot more development and balancing. The major issues: 1) Dino needs attention way too often for an idle game. I can't leave my computer for more than an hour without the dino dying. 2) This game eats memory. I can have five other games going and this one will take more memory than the rest combined. 3) Still crashes on occasion. Though I suspect it's because of the memory consumption more than anything else. 4) Also would love other ways to interact with the dinos. There's petting them, or playing with a ball, that's it.

Es un juego muy simple pero con un estilo pixel art bonito y adorable, visualmente me gusta. A pesar de estar sólo en inglés, es fácil de entender y jugar. El modo Overlay no funciona bien, muchas veces el cursor no reconoce a los dinosaurios y no puedo hacerles click. El modo pantalla completa va mucho mejor y reconoce a los dinosaurios fácilmente así que es más fácil de manejar, si vas a probar el juego recomiendo usar este modo por el momento. Los indicadores de estadísticas son fáciles de entender. Me gustaría que interaccionasen entre sí, de forma que si el dinosaurio está durmiendo, su indicador de felicidad y/o hambre no baje. El indicador de felicidad me da la sensación de que baja muy rápido a veces. He probado a poner una pelota pero en vez de jugar con ella, el dinosaurio la arrastra y su indicador de felicidad no sube. Además, al rato de poner la pelota, me ha crasheado el juego y la pelota ha desaparecido cuando he iniciado de nuevo el juego. Los dinosaurios a veces desaparecen cuando se duermen (sólo se ven las zZzzZz). He probado las mejoras que tienen los dinosaurios (Evolutions), pero no he notado ningún cambio. Más bien al revés, le he subido Cheerful lvl 2 a un dinosaurio, y su indicador de felicidad baja más rápido que el de otro dinosaurio sin mejorar. Hay 6 especies de dinosaurios bastante icónicas y populares, me parece una buena variedad para iniciar el juego. En general creo que es un juego con mucho potencial pero aún le falta arreglar algunos bugs y añadir más cositas para hacerlo más disfrutable, atractivo e interesante. Seguiré jugando a ratos y revisaré los updates que vayan haciendo. Ahora mismo no lo recomendaría debido a varios bugs que he ido mencionando en la reseña, pero cuando los solucionen creo que será un juego muy agradable para tener en segundo plano.

This is so cute!! I'm definitely going to use this while browsing and watching videos. I've only seen one minor visual issue but I am using an UltraWide monitor so I expected it (I am actually impressed that the visual issue I have is barely visible). I absolutely adore the artstyle and animations of my little Triceratops who I named General! Edit: I've seen others asking about their dino's happiness reaching zero. You can increase your dinosaur's happiness by petting them! Simply hover your cursor over them and a hand should appear. Keep clicking on them with that hand to increase happiness. If you are using the Overlay option, it may be finicky at least it has been in my experience but I'm not surprised.

меняю обзор с положительного на отрицательный, так как последнее обновление было пару месяцев назад. в целом очень милая игруха с большим потенциалом, но в текущем состоянии я не могу ее рекомендовать. баги и недоработки сильно портят впечатление

Leider derzeit noch zu viele Bugs die es unspielbar machen. Die DNA (die Währung) die man pro Sekunde eigentlich kriegen sollte, hört plötzlich auf sich zu erhöhen und die Dinos verlieren dafür sekündlich an Happiness, wodurch sie nicht mehr essen und (eigentlich) sterben. Der Dino liegt aber nur in der Schlafanimation da und steckt so für immer fest. Der Ball, den man kaufen kann, damit sie von selbst glücklich werden, fällt beim Kauf direkt durch die Task-Leiste und ist somit futsch. Es gibt noch weitere Bugs, aber die hab ich in den Disskussionen für den Entwickler aufgelistet. Jeden Falls hoffe ich, dass ich diese Rezension bald ändern kann, da ich das Spiel an sich wirklich super finde ( wenn es nur funktionieren würde). Edit: Dinos werden auch unsichtbar oder stecken auf der Stelle fest. Habe meinen Spielstand schon dreimal zurückgesetzt und es passiert jedes Mal. Ist absolut nicht spielbar. Edit 26.05.24: Leider hat sich immer noch nicht viel getan. Das Spiel stürzt jetzt ab, wenn man seinen Dinos Evolutions geben will.

I love this so much! The style and cute tiny designs of the dinosaurs are just so darn cute!! i've only used it for a few minutes but i know i already love it! can't wait to see how far this lil guy gets

So buggy that it's unplayable. Shame because it's cute but clearly abandoned by the devs
