About
In Descend from Arkov’s Tower, every step is filled with decisions that could change your fate. You might face:
Rolling a dice that could cost you your life.
Wielding a unique healing sword that’s not just for show—it’s actually useful.
Risking your hard-earned items or coins being stolen by a sneaky enemy.
Consuming potions, smearing them on your weapon, or pouring them on the floor (and soon, you’ll even be able to throw them!).
…and so much more.

Maybe the free prologue: Descent from Arkovs Tower Prologue can convince you otherwise, please give it a try.
Enter Descend from Arkov’s Tower, a roguelike adventure filled with surprising choices, powerful upgrades, and oddball encounters. You’ll take on a new identity each time, with one goal: fight your way down through 30 treacherous levels, each with unique challenges, and try to survive long enough to make it to the bottom… or go down trying!
The path through the magic tower shifts each time you play, with randomly generated floors and unexpected NPC encounters to keep you on your toes. Face off against a variety of enemies, and test your wits in 6 unique boss battles. Along the way, you’ll encounter quirky characters who may offer a helping hand—or a tricky gamble that could spell doom.
With turn-based combat, every move counts. Gather items, roll the dice to see if fate’s on your side. Adapt your strategy on the fly and choose your upgrades carefully as you go deeper into the mystery of the tower.

It is a great little rouge like game with many unique items, enemies and things to do. The easy mode is really easy, so it is quick possible to reach the end and understand the story. But with the next characters classes and the harder modes, it get's challenging and interesting to play it again.
Descent from Arkovs Tower is charming, the pixelart might be on the simpler side, I like tough the variaity of enemies and their behaviour. There are enemies which steal from you, some npc's actually attack you if you do the wrong things. Also very interesting is the fact that you can look into the code of the whole content. Something I found out when I created a new Mod, by default all the game files are in there as the dev has written them :D quite interesting to dig trough-
Cool game! Recommended.
Edit: It seems that the issue with mods causing the game to crash was due to all but one of the mods being outdated. All mods at the moment are made by the dev, so I think they should either update the mods or remove them from the workshop, but regardless the issue seems to be resolved so I'm changing my review to positive. The dev also put out a new patch that's supposed to resolve the issue with the game crashing on the second to last fight, so my fingers are crossed that everything will be smooth when I get there on my current Knight Deathmarch run. Let me start with the bad stuff. This review will hopefully turn to a thumbs up really soon as soon as these complaints are fixed, but for now I have to give it a thumbs down. The big selling point is that it's highly moddable, but the mods, all made by the dev, cause the game to crash. I also experienced two crashes in the second to last fight (though thankfully my save wasn't corrupted) and a few achievements failed to pop. Now on to the positives. The game starts off a bit slow, it doesn't really start to become a challenge until the last quarter of the game (played on Hard), but the game is cute and has a nice flow. The music is absolutely great and so is the art. The gameplay is simple, but not in a bad way. I really hope the dev continues to work on this, I think it could become a real gem :)
Top, macht richtig Laune!
