Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A horrific experience for all the wrong reasons. Horrendous combat and puzzle design. Can't even finish it due to finite resources and overpowered enemies in the last chapter. And the only thing scary about it is it costs money

Edit: I just realized this is by the same developer as Mythos: The Beginning and the One Night trilogy. Dark Gaia's improved with each game, and while I like the other two and would love a follow-up to Mythos, I think this is the strongest of the set. --- This is *very* close to straight up being a Resident Evil demake, and I don't think that's a bad thing. It follows the same concept---a biohazard thing has happened in a remote forested region---and there's branching paths, two protagonists to choose from, saveable side-characters, and a three-act structure. Now, where it diverges is in the specifics of its gameplay. And I sort of like Derange's more than classic RE? Derange is still an rpgmaker title, and boy can you feel that sometimes, but at the end of the day RE's gameplay didn't need 3D movement. That was icing on a still competent cake. So in Derange, when an enemy goes in for a grab, you get a prompt to respond with a weapon, the game rolls a die, and on a success you pop the monster and get some breathing room. Moreso than in RE, weapons in Derange are *purely* defensive. You fire shots to avoid getting hit. Otherwise, you try to avoid enemies, jinking past them in the narrow corridors of the mansion. There's no trying to nudge your aim at the last second and hoping for a headshot. If an enemy corners you, you spend resources to get uncornered. If you don't have those resources, you die. At least one other review said that the game was too hard, and I don't know if it's been patched since the review or what, but I've been playing on normal mode and it's kind of easy? Choice of starting characters might make a huge difference here, so I can't promise it'll be easy for all players, but as long as you don't try to Doom Marine your way through rooms, you should be fine. Ultimately, if you haven't played classic RE (or the gamecube REmake, or Zero, or the recent 2 and 3 remakes), or if you hate that style of oldschool survival horror, or if you hate rpgmaker graphics, or if you hate obscure puzzles (there *is* a guide online, and you'll pretty much need it for the clock), this might not be a great choice for you. However, if you like the idea of a slimmed down, slightly altered, original RE experience, this one is pretty good, and I definitely recommend it. It's also got somewhat ludicrously good sound design. Everything from the atmospheric noises to the actual soundtrack is *way* better than I was prepared to expect, and it adds a ton to the immersion. 2nd Edit: Cleared the game. It's solidly fun, and nowhere near as difficult as some of the other reviews were making it out to be. I had piles of ammo to spare, and I was playing on normal difficulty. There also aren't *any* situations where ammo is required to progress. The end credits music is ear-hurting, and a couple of puzzles require absolute moon logic to solve them, but that's pretty much the only critique I have for the game.

It was super fun to play this game. But, even though I finished the game (as Jessica) I didn't get the achievements, I only got the first two achievements (namely Enter the World of Survival Horror and Residence Evil) ;_; But anyhow, I would definitely recommend this lovecraftian horror game to anyone who enjoys a decent rpgmaker game.
Yeeaaah
Can't remember why I bought this, but I'm better off just watching someone else play this. I started replaying this from the start, It was just as boring as it was the first time I played it, got inside the building where the duo came up with the oh so brilliant idea to split up. Tried to fight a zombie to get a handle at the combat, died, respawned, tried making a map of my surrounding, got bored, moved on to something else. If you were going to make a demake of Resident Evil 2, I think you could've done better with another engine that isn't RPG maker.
RPG Maker strikes again! Derange is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. Notably the developer here couldn't work out how to use RPG Maker to make an RPG... and that's the only thing RPG Maker can do properly... except it's not even very good for making RPGs. Instead, we have a very badly written shovelware "horror" themed adventure/puzzle game. It should go without saying, but while the RPG Maker childrens toolset is a terrible tool for making RPGs, it's absolutely worse for making any other kind of game. So the result from the developer using the childrens tool here to make a non RPG with an RPG tool is predictably disastrous. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Derange has the preposterous price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger. For comparison, the $5 asking price for this game could get you games like "Fallout 4", the "Tomb Raider" remake or "Left 4 Dead 2". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this. There's also thousands of free, superior quality games on Steam.
Uma biela de una mierda !
