When someone asks me what game has the best bossfights + bossfight music and they think I'm about to say dark souls but I say denshattack
You kickflip trains. 129-ton machines. Meant to go on tracks. I mean if that doesn't sell you then idk what you're even playing video games for, like dawg. This is peak. The vibes, the swag, the sauce, it's all right there.

This game puts the pedal to the metal. Full throttle through the whole game and it never gets tiring. Music is a blast to listen to and I would go into levels just to listen. Only problem I had has to do with in-level cutscenes being unable to skip. Not the ones where I had control and can do tricks in the middle of it, but scenes where I can't actually do anything. Watching those over and over again while trying to get ranks, dares, or collectibles made it a bit tiring. Other than that, I loved every second of it. Easy 10/10. Probably my game of the year, go ahead and play it!
Peak 10/10
My GOTY of 2026. Never had so much fun with a game before. Great character and world design, phenomenal level design and concepts for every level, banger music... maybe the story isn't that good, but it's still heartwarming, especially because of all the adventures Emi goes through and all the characters she carries with her along the way. Definitely recommended.
Really fun game- over the top and light hearted, reminds me of SSX.
Fun train game train game trains
Denshattack! (AKA: "Video Game: The Video Game") It's not often one plays a game that urges you to get better solely because it has hidden depths and secrets it beckons you to uncover. Most of the time when a game is telling the player to get better, it's because it squashes them with a big rock or whatever that the player should have seen coming. With Denshattack, it's clear that it doesn't mind that you aren't at the peak of ability with it's myriad systems and winding paths that fork in ludicrous directions, it just wants you to get better so that way you can experience it to its fullest. As of writing, I finished the campaign but I know for a fact that I'm going back in to make sure I have at least a Silver medal in most levels, rather than the Medal-less or even Bronze wasteland I left all those stages. But that's the magic of Denshattack! It leaves you hungry for more, to discover the best ways to tackle each challenge and to break through your own perceived walls. Combine that one-off cheap trick level gimmicks that send me over the moon with glee and a soundtrack so many familiar voices, sounds, and vibes, and I cannot recommend this game enough, especially to those that find themselves in a malaise about the current Gaming Industry. This is *my* Game Of The Year.
