Even though deck building games normally aren't my kinda thing, I found the idea of this game intriguing. So I gave it a try, and it has been really fun so far! The tutorial levels are helpful and quickly familiarize you with the mechanics which are quite different from what I usually play - but that's the entire premise, bringing the charm of a board game to a computer game. And I have to say, it works! It's like a super immersive board game where you don't need to amass a bunch of other players before you even get to play. I am looking forward to seeing this game grow!
I love boardgames by this designer, but this is as exciting as watching paint dry. You just go back and forth on the track, triggering buildings and avoiding monsters, until you have enough resources to trigger the cards that you have planed as the solution to 'the puzzle' presented by the level. There's just way too much waiting and rote manipulation for the number of meaningful decisions you get to make. I played right up to the refund time limit, hoping for something to click, but it never did. The art is a bit cringe too, voices and writing are not great either, nothing kept me engaged.

I really like the unique (play)style of this game which is the perfect mix of board game and deck building with a legacy component. Although I experienced bugs sometimes I really apprechiate how this game is set up. The tutorial is very well made and paves the way for an easy entry. The sound is very soothing and I also had to laugh sometimes during the intro/tutorial (Freya is just the best cat ever :D). The skill level seems also to be quiet challenging which I count as a big plus. I don't like freebees. I managed to fail during first missions. So always evaluate every step you take! Final resume: Fun, appealing and challenging. Although buggy sometimes but hey... its early access. Looking forward for more :)
I tried to like it but I find each map a slog in which I have to invariable stumble on the strategy that the scenario will let me progress to the next map where I have to restart all over again. It just leads to frustration and boredom in the end
“Demon Loop” impressively combines elements of a board game with those of a collectible card game. The simple yet appealing graphics and the well-thought-out gameplay make it a true highlight. What initially appears to be a simple pleasure quickly evolves into a deep, strategic experience. The game is easy to learn but offers new challenges through its diverse possibilities, keeping it perpetually engaging. The skillful combination of these two well-known game genres provides an entertaining gaming experience that delights both seasoned players and newcomers alike.
Ein spannendes turnbased Strategiespiel, das einem zum Überlegen bringt, welche Karte man als nächstes spielen sollte. Besticht mit interessanten Charakteren, und innovativen Gameplay
Very fun deckbuilding game with a cool story and nice artwork! Realy liked the boardgame character!
Neat independent deckbuilder. I had to watch the stream to get the tutorial, but after that, I got rolling. I got the game on the first day early acces sale, and I like the puzzle-element. Cute graphics!
A friend showed this game to me and even though I usually don't play that many deck building games I got hooked quite quickly. The tutorial was really well done, the artwork is lovely and after a few easily defeated deamons you'll find yourself soon struggling to find the best strategy to conquer the stronger ones. And for an early access game i also wanna say that I didn't encounter any major bugs. Thumbs up! I can only recommend it. Give it a try! :D
Clever optimization deck-builder from Alexander Pfister. Can be very challenging, which may put off new players, particularly those not accustomed to Pfister's other games similar to this (notably, Blackout: Hong Kong). I think this works well as a digital app, perhaps more so than it would as a physical game, with gradually-revealed hidden terrain and custom decks per level. May feel like more of a puzzle than a game, but this is one of the appealing aspects to me. Can be very frustrating, particularly when you realize you've made a mistake, and there is no way to restart the turn. I experienced only a few minor glitches during gameplay, and there are some minor language errors, but nothing game-breaking or preventing understanding, though be sure to take note of the warning during startup that this is still Early Access and save-game data may be lost/unusable after an update (which may prompt some people considering the purchase to wait until official release).
