As the US army's elite special operations soldiers you are the most potent 'smart weapon' known to man. You are the 'tip of the spear' for covert operations around the world — you are the first line of attack. Nothing stands in your way.

Love the Ol' Time Delta Force.
Only the dead have seen the end of war
It took me almost a month to get through Delta Force bootcamp. It's been ups and downs. But this is where I draw the line. I'm done. Not because in a row, but because it's just unplayable. Somehow this game had all the options to be better, if not equal to Land Warrior, but somehow it isn't.
Pros:
-More weapon sprites, I guess -Ability to play not as Delta. Instead of characters or faces we have units - CIA, SAS, CSAR, Rangers, Marines, SEAL, something else... In the game called "Delta Force".
Cons:
-No more briefing whatsoever. No destinations, navigations, nothing on the briefing. Where are we dropping, boys?! -No allies anymore. You're alone. Task Force... right. -No more any sort of plot. It's actually funny how little I need to be satisfied in the way of "why am I doing this?" - tell me the name of the group, what did they do. Here it's nothing - guess we're just fighting Afghanistan. -All the previous cons remain. -Quick missions ARE the campaign missions. -Softlocks if not straight up unplayable. I've ragequitted on the chopper mission because I just randomly fall off of it. In front of having no chopper sound, no enemies to snipe, and Bravo team is just one guy going through an empty town... No, honestly, what the hell?! Call of Duty of it's time, right, it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ IS! Campaign is just there, whatever, bugged or smth, who cares, we come for multiplayer! I'm done. Black Hawk Down is not even for sale, only Team Sabre, and I'm not in the mood of sponsoring I don't even know whomst, THQ Nordic? Tencent? Who even holds the rights nowadays?!
I won't even put any badass quote. In fact, I'll go reconsider marks for the whole series. 0/10 on this one!
Played this when I was a kid. The only reason I bought it.
TFD is just Delta Force Land Warrior with a new campaign. Just an expansion. Nothing else. So read my Land Warrior review. https://steamcommunity.com/id/darwingaming8/recommended/32640?snr=1_5_9__402

《大地勇士》的资料片,不错!
Great game, love this game.
amazing game classic and amazing throwback
Engine, sounds, and weapons are improved. Campaign missions are flawed. The positives are that the player can passively and actively observe the battlefield with a UAV, enemies can surrender, and there is weapon sway, which I don't recall observing in the other DF titles, even the succeeding Black Hawk Down, Team Sabre, and Xtreme 1 and 2. Weapon firing sounds have been redone and improved since Land Warrior : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqnR5UhY4fM There is even a 1st/3rd person switching key, but 3rd person can't be used for combat, so isn't worth using most of the time in a shooting game. I value the added abilities and realism a lot, but there are many more downsides that go along with it, Not good for modern high ram and large wide screens - On my WIndows 10 machine the setup thought my Swap was too little, and the game froze when trying to edit controls and the only way out of it short of hard reboot was logging out because I couldn't get steam or task manager to stop the unresponsive game. There are fixes for resolution setting issues discussed here : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3041906277 Poor design - Some requirements for mission completion aren't specified. The first mission necessitates the destruction of a satellite dish and only the AT4 or charges can destroy it but doesn't list this objective and doesn't say how exactly to accomplish. The mission briefings aren't voiced. It's easy to fall and become seriously injured or die in the high hills, and even from jumping out of the inserting helicopter in mission 2 - to avoid that, jump out toward the nearest tree to the left door, where there is a bit of an incline. Here are some other tips for completing bugged missions : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1449255690 Less mission depth and variety - It's all in the sand of Afghanistan. Suboptimal Controls - The controls are unergonomic and unintuitive, with defaults requiring movement of hand toward numpad for stance adjustment, while less immediately important things occupy the qwerty space. Makes fighting complicated and lengthy and increases the chance your character (who can die in one hit) has to start the whole mission over in a game with notoriously large maps and no player drivable vehicles. There doesn't appear to be a key to change rate of fire, so automatic weapons can't be used conservatively. I wish all of these were still readily available for purchase (especially on GoG because I'm not switching to Windows 11) and companies like Tencent and its TiMi Studio Group weren't killing their properties like Rockstar, Blizzard / Activision, Naughty Dog, Dont nod, Deck Nine, Square Enix, EA, and Ubisoft.
TORA BORA TORA BORA The weakest entry in the franchise but still okay for a weekend if you're an older gentleman of course
