Super disappointed with this game, was hoping to relive my childhood and did kinda. Every time I went to save the game it froze and opened an invisible window that I was unable to access/switch too. With disappointed I will be requesting a refund.
is it fun? sure. Is it significantly more fun than the free online version? Not really. Also the "updated" graphics are a crime on the eyeballs, jesus christ. Kills much of the nostalgia factor as well when it looks like preschool classroom decor.
A pity that this game is not working anymore on Windows on 2022, even if I tried installing the fix the author mentions here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/708710/discussions/0/1620599015868417684/ With all the pain in my heart, I have to give a bad review and ask for the refund, as it's simply not lunching :(

Own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.
In all honesty I love this game, I don't care if other people think the visuals are bad, if the game allows me to have fun then I'm happy.

You'd be surprised how addicting and fun attaining carpal tunnel can be.
At least when I downloaded it, the game was a buggy mess. I loved this game as a kid, but it's a shame to see it come down to this.
