About
Our deep-level mining operations have gone dark. Deep Rock Galactic needs them back online at any cost. We’re sending in a crack squad of Reclaimers to breach and secure the mines, and kill whatever’s down there.
Your survival is not necessary for the success of this mission.
Step into the boots of the Reclaimers, Deep Rock Galactic’s elite corporate security force. In fast-paced 1-4 player co-op gameplay, you’ll fight through alien-infested mines as five playable classes:
GUARDIAN: The walking shield. An expert in area denial and close protection. Damages enemies with concussive blasts, and restores the team’s armor.
FALCONER: The aerial attacker. Deploys an airborne assault drone to electrify enemies. In an emergency, can even revive teammates from afar.
RETCON: The hologram berserker. Can warp back to a previous point in spacetime, restoring health and ammo to recover from dangerous situations. Lethal in all time zones.
SPOTTER: The marksman. Highlights and weakens targets with toxin darts, spots enemies through walls, and can deploy ammo crates for use in extended firefights.
SLICER: The melee expert. Carries an energy blade capable of dismembering all but the toughest opponents. Mobile, agile, aggressive.
No two runs are the same. The roguelike format means you’ll scavenge your weapons and equipment from within the mines, and collect resources to upgrade your gear and abilities. Choose from a deep pool of upgrades for your weapons and abilities, discovering lethal synergies and snowballing in power as you fight your way down to the Rift Gate.
Linger too long, and the Reaperworms will hear you. Explore each level of the mine for upgrades, equipment and resources — but remember that each stop costs precious time. Stick with your team, move quickly, and push forward at all costs.
Nobody said this would be easy. But death is only a setback. Dive, dig, die, and dive again.
Procedurally-generated caves mean every single mission gives a unique challenge of traversal and exploration. Featuring 100% destructible terrain, you can dig, carve and explode the caves around you to level the playing field. Fight your way deeper through natural caverns and enormous industrial structures.
These mines are infested with Corespawn: the most aggressive, resilient and intelligent alien life we’ve ever encountered on Hoxxes IV. 20+ different enemy types and 3 different bosses are lying in wait. Use whatever means necessary to eliminate them.
Between missions, you’ll find yourself aboard the RV-09 Ramrod. Here, you and your squad can access rich metaprogression and extensive character customization to bring into your next deployment. Lift weights, braid your beard, hit the dance floor, and have a beer with your team.

I am not going to bore you like other people 'i have x amount hours on drg' so do I. I am a solo player, so take this with grain of salt too. I did not have fun with the mission and the playable and the removing of shields and using armor instead, i just dont like the mechanics. I thought I would be into this type of playstyle too, with time limit, but it just isnt what I thought the game was going to be unfortunately. Anyways, I personally wouldnt recommend this game to anyone whos solo too, it just seems to overwhelming and I dont do enough damage to the boss, its like its a actual sponge, and took way to long to kill (i could also just have a ♥♥♥♥ build) . anyways I prefer the first game and will just stick to that.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I want to preface this with a 'certainly needs way more time in the oven', but even now it's still enjoyable. My main gripe is that for solo, Cautious feels mandatory, and you have some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deaths here and there. I do have to say though, that my main gripe is the lack of real synergy between upgrades, or just a general lack of scaling for the most part. Combining upgrades that make red sugar drop, with better healing from red sugar, an the elemental combo of poison and fire to make repeated bursts of fire are the only real pieces of synergy I've seen. I still recommend the game, it's fun and has amazing gunplay, especially now with the higher focus on being precise to get things done making a well aimed shot all the more satisfying. In addition, one of the classes, along with crit upgrades, and possibly stacking loads of crit chance, can allow for multicrit, which feels incredibly satisfying and was a joy to see properly implemented. The other classes have fun gimmicks, too. The rewind of Retcon feels enjoyable. The drone also feels good to just release as. The Slicer has incredible crowd control up close, and Guardian is an okay tank, and is the only one that doesn't feel super great to me. I think this'll end up being something great with time.
I think I might like this over the original deep rock. It’s real fun to play with people and the gameplay loop is satisfying. I would recommend it but when playing keep in mind that it’s still early development (as of this review) and bugs can be expected.
Decent enough considering the price and early access, not a whole lot of variety though. Lots of potential for improvement.

Even with a somewhat interesting launch, Rouge Core has been a wonderful time for me. Truth be told I didn't play the base game a whole lot and only got the game to play with my drg-headed friend. Now however, i now almost everything about the game, have all the achievements and have more hours than my friends combined, and it was worth it. Overall, the game actually isn't too much of a rougelite as winning a run can be determined from the beginning, like getting slicers best bio booster early which can solo a D-4 run. I don't think of this as a bad thing however as it almost makes the game its own type of rougelite where rather than snowball, you fish for a win condition which can both make the experience easier, or harder. I think the characters however, is one of the most consistent things of the game that the devs did really well. Not only are there more choices than the base game but they are all extremely balanced in my opinion. Each class has a very high chance to perform well in runs as long as the player understands how they work. Of course they aren't fully equal as classes like Slicer and Guardian have abilities that can overperform consistently, but that doesn't mean the others can't. Also female dwarves in drg is a very welcome addition The game is fun, just like the base game, but the gameplay is still very different between the two, especially the pacing. I recommend, especially for base game players, even if online discussion has you think otherwise.
The love I have for deep rock galactic games is immeasurable
while this game is still early access, i feel the devs did a pretty good job balancing the difficulty thatll make us go through trial and error, hence why we go in between winning and losing our runs. i also think its great we get the reroll mechanic in the upgrades section that makes it where we have more options to explore and think through for our builds, aside from the shared upgrades we once had in friend/public lobbies. taking criticism really is key into making a better game
