Deca’s story revolves around a poor soul who got trapped in an old haunted mental asylum. While trying to escape, you are confronted by all sorts of horror and challenges. In the heat of all this, you will also have to puzzle together the mystery of this haunted mental asylum and its inhabitants. Gameplay: The game starts off with you lying on the floor and waking up to your shock and disbelief, in a dark ruined room full of broken furniture and a pile of bones. As you stand in the midst of darkness, you spot a table with a lantern and some papers. You try to light the lantern, and here comes the first disappointment . . . it doesn’t matter whether you light it or not; the lantern has little to no light coming from it unless you point it directly onto of some sort of object, but it basically fails the lighting-the-path-up part. Which is okay, as it contributes to the game's difficulty. As you start to move further down the corridor, you will find nothing except death and dismemberment. Further adding to the horror show, you start seeing haunting figures, who will definitely try to kill you if you get close enough. But lucky for you, these characters are pretty broken and will stop following you as soon as you duck down under something or get behind doors and stuff. Room after room, you will be searching for clues behind the mystery of this haunting, and while doing so, attempting to survive the murdering maniacs. Puzzles: Subtle, nothing too complicated, but this gets a big thumbs down from me because of the lighting situation. I get it; you’re trying to make the game difficult, but in the process, you’ve squeezed the enjoyment out of puzzle-solving and mysteries. Music and sound effects: The music is okay and suits the theme of the game but nothing to brag about. But I like the sound effects, for the most part; they really impact the game in a great way and intensify the horror element. However, there are some issues in this aspect of the game as well; I faced some minor issues, such as delays and audio cutting out abruptly. World design: The best thing about Deca would be its world design and details. Yes, it’s still a bit rusty but the game has got the horror elements, atmosphere and haunted mental asylums interior down pat. As much as I disliked the lighting condition and its impact on the gameplay but I must say it looks bloody awesome while walking down the narrow corridors in the misty darkness. Positives: + Interesting concept + Familiar horror taste + Simple yet effective gameplay + Decent theme-appropriate sound effects + Mysterious + Fine detailing + A pretty horrific mental institute Negatives: - Poor lighting condition choices - Got stuck quite a few times - Minor audio issues - Bugs and Glitches - The lantern is pointless - Animation issues A horror game worthy of its name Deca, set in a Decaying mental institute, is full of all sorts of horror and haunting. Но как же это затянуто! Затянуто и от этого становится однообразно - обшарпанные стены, мясные рулеты из людей, монстры - ничего не вызывает эмоций как в первые минуты. Постоянная беготня из одного конца в другой отбивает все желание играть дальше. В описании сказано, что на прохождение уйдет 8-10 часов, но я зае...ся уже за 1,5. P.S. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OP_Llg-fxqU This one really surprised me! It's a solid horror game with a lot going for it. Imagine Outlast on a limited budget and you might know what you're in for. You'll be avoiding a selection of dangerous enemies whilst navigating various environments, solving puzzles and collecting items. Some of the enemies and sections are genuinely frightening, even for an experienced horror fan. It'll last you around 5 hours as well, so great value for the money.

I had waited to play Deca knowing there were bugs when it first came out. I'm glad I did as the game ran flawlessly for me (played Feb 2022). This game is your basic run and hide while solving puzzles and uncovering the story. You play as Alice Parker, the only survivor of the Deca Psychiatric Hospital fire. The point of the game is to uncover her memories of the events and figure out what happened at Deca and why. If you enjoy Outlast without all the sexual content, you'll enjoy Deca. Дороговато, но игрушка качественная. хотя и встречаются баги, например: - в меню сохранения не исчезало окно - после загрузки не пропадал размытый фон - монстр первого уровня когда меня увидел, встал на месте и стоял. Еще тут есть головоломки, быть претендентом логических наук не обязательно, но порой бывают не интуитивно понятные штуки. И да - only English language. В защиту всему что сказал выше - игра и правда держит, по крайне мере в начале. На втором уровне начинается стелс режим, который очень затянут. За 3 часа игры я в целом доволен. Изменено: Игру прошел, однозначно рекомендую (в финальных сценах палевная музыка xD) Если не пират, и думаешь брать или нет - посмотри обзорчик

I really liked this game. I have to say that I was very impressed that it was made by so few people. Its level of graphics is magnificent. and the atmosphere generates a lot of terror. The puzzles are very well designed. It took me about 8 hours to finish the game. I loved. I recommend it 100%.
