Experience on the Valve Index
This game is good old fashioned zombie slaying fun. There are 3 difficulty modes at the moment, easy, normal, hard, with up to 4 player and the option of private lobbies. It does go really crazy so you need to be very tactical and play your strategy. Currently, there are 2 pistols, 3 assault rifles, a Mac10 and a sniper rifle, also grenades, mines and heals. You will definitely get your moneys worth as it it very fun & funny, the headshots have a satisfying 'squish' sound and chaining them together is so cool, I think my record is 10 in a row. The game is in early access and has a small team, so I suggest joining their discord and give ideas and feedback, it is invaluable to the developers. Here is a live stream of Normal & Hard mode (contains spoilers) https://youtube.com/live/bEPR3mTff98
LOOK AT MY REVIEW now that you're looking, you're probably looking at the reviews to find a bad one to explain to you why you shouldn't get the game From a couple that I've read myself, they were either made a long time ago, or they're trolling, cause this game is fun and Idk why people are sleepin on it Also, I DID NOT RECEIVE THIS GAME FOR FREE, I JUST THINK IT HAS TOO LITTLE ATTENTION AND PEOPLE NEED TO LOOK PAST THE MIXED REVIEWS AND SEE THAT ITS A GOOD GAME For the record, I have played Pavlov, Into the Radius (highly recommend), Island of Tabor, Walking Dead saints and sinners (1 and 2), Population One, and Lies Beneath. That's all my gun experience, but I'd say this game is closest to Walking dead saints and sinners in level of gun complexity and closer to Island of tabor in how they feel to use. They still have a laser pointer feel, like in Island of tabor, however they aren't backed up by Island's complexity, and they have the complexity of Saints and sinners and how their reloading works. This game is a classic Zombie killin game all about quick thinking and being cool headed. The zombies are just fast enough that if you're caught sleepin at the wheel youre boned, However, you can sprint to get away, and generally you can stay on top of things with a good enough gun. It has 3 difficulty modes, However besides spawning rate being jacked up and losing more easily, I don't really notice too much of a difference in how hard the zombies are. It also has 3 lengths of missions (sadly no endless) which are 20 minutes, 40 minutes, and 1 hour of playtime before you reset. I have sadly only played the 20 minutes of playtime mode, but that's also because im poopy dogwater and failed the mission from dying on hard, and from not killing zombies on medium. I haven't played Multiplayer at all yet, but if I do I WILL return and comment, repost, or edit this post. As long as its not a laggy mess, and the zombie spawning is increased, I think it should be okay though. Control wise its both incredible, and a bit infuriating. I love how much customization there is, as you're able to adjust the position of the gun in your hand and basically set it wherever you want it. However, its missing some things like "vignette strength" and "Ui toggles". Also every single item you carry is practically touching another one, so while trying to grab a mag, I'll usually fumble and grab a medkit or a flashlight. For the price its at, this is a perfect game to shoot heads and get immersed in the zombie shooting world. You have this constant cycle of killing zombies and then buying the prettiest gun on the block, and its honestly great how the money -> guns works, excluding some price tags. So go buy this game because 1. its a perfect turn off your brain and kill zombies kinda game 2. and its like what, 9 bucks, like cmon bro just buy it but hey, im just a random guy on the internet, so do what you want stranger, its your choice afterall This is where non-Devs can go buy the game while I bullet point stuff for the devs okay so, I have a couple things that I feel like would make the game feel a lot better, and also add more challenge to harder difficulties 1. please keep the grabbing areas attached to the rotation of where youre looking -This would help LOADS with grabbing the right item, and especially help with making the flashlight look in your direction 2. Im hyped for classes, please give me cool classes Im begging you 3. Balancing as a whole -Please remove the free Uzi and heals. I understand that it prolly helps multiplayer a lot, but having a free rapid fire gun is way too strong. -Okay, so like I understand that every gun should 1 shot headshot. but also not every gun should 1 shot head shot Using other guns other than the free uzi feels like Im trolling because I have a free uzi, with a ton of ammo, that 1 shots every zombie as long as im a pro gamer, is kinda silly. I actually do like how bad the gun is when youre shooting them in the body, and it feels really balanced when you do that, but just make the uzi and the pistols, and basically anything under 30$ a magazine 2 shot headshot, with the first one staggering the zombie. That would add incentive to actually go and buy your arguably better feeling guns. -Riding off of the last point, make the difficulties feel more unique. Maybe make all headshots 1 shot on easy, but then have my changes for medium and hard. Also for easy, probably make the zombies full run speed lower so then you can easily get away with a sprint, while making hard zombies practically move a sprinting speed. 4. headshot??? -why is the headshot so easy to hit?? like I feel like the hitbox is way bigger than it should be, cause I can see blood splatters appear above the heads of zombies and it makes no sense how that shot hit. 5. More special zombies -Im not a baby, but my fight or flight kicked in SO HARD when I saw that dog creature monster for the first time. please make more types of those guys, and maybe make them appear more often. Since headshots are 1 shotting everything, those are the only creatures who make me actually consider using a higher tier weapon 6. Shop?? why are you there???? -To me, that shop in the pub shouldn't be there, but you should have a lot more time to shop once the wave is over. Maybe close the doors when youre inside so you cant explore, but then only run the timer when the person is inside, so no matter what you get 1 minute and 15 seconds of buying time. Also why are the prices different in the other shop?? 7. This is kinda a shot in the dark, but the game would feel so much better with saints and sinners weight 8. The discord invite is considered expired?? I would love to join it tho so I can give more feedback and stuff 9. holosights would be pretty nice, just sayin everyone loves a good red dot 10. melee doesn't feel too great in its current state, but also could be really cool -I actually think its really fun to go around bonking zombies, but it could be a little more clear why it doesn't 1 shot sometimes, especially in the tutorial. Maybe adding a sweetspot or melee weight would make the weapons feel better -Kick needs a rework or something, because there is almost no reason to kick when you can just sprint for the amount that kick would cost, and then youre in a better position. either it needs a buff in range or some invulnerability cause It feels really bad and you should probably just run instead of kicking. Thank you for listening, and whether youre a dev ignoring my changes, or a passerby seeing my ramblings Have a wonderful day :)
Def needs work but I can see something great here. I wont Knock it to a neg review because its EA title but I will keep revisiting after each update to check the progression. It needs a back pack system if you guys are going to be doing crafting, wood & hammer, meg guns, etc. to much for the belt system guns and ammo on belt everything else backpack. Just a suggestion =) good luck keep up the good work!
Right now, Death Harvest is in a pretty early state. You're essentially buying a 4-person wave survival game with purchasable guns and equipment. And honestly, for VR at $9, I think it's a pretty solid deal. The devs have a lot of plans (mentioned here on the store page and in game) that will make the game awesome if they happen, but I think it's worth a go even ignoring that stuff.
Gra jest naprawde świetna mimo że to wersja beta przydałoby sie wiecej map
i mean that's alright - still early, but love the idea and hope to see further improvements
This game is honestly quite fun and is a cool zombie wave survival game for you to play with your friends. I liked how simple it was compared to other games, and how the environment changes each wave making it darker. Its a small little price and gets pretty good and regular updates, so its definitely a good game to check out sometime. I would say the rating is about a 7/10 for not being too bad honestly.
Zombie slaughtering fun
