Deadly Escape

Fairly boring gameplay interesting story though

I enjoyed the concept. Only played through the first chapter but I enjoyed the gameplay/mechanics. My only quarrel with it (which is pretty considerable) is the lack of save points. It's extremely unforgiving as having to replay an entire chapter due to something unforeseen is just beyond boring. This put me off from further playing. But I'd still say it's a good game, just don't die Kappa

Deadly Escape is a 2D retro pixel top down hybrid twin-stick shooter/adventure game. You're a zombie and you wake up in the typical underground zombie experiment lab after the other zombies got out, but apparently you've still got your brains so you have to work out how to escape. Gameplay consists of really badly done 2D retro pixel shooting (sigh) and adventure/inventory management that might even have some potential if it wasn't tied to such a garbage technical implementation. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic low quality art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the mediocre 2D visuals. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Deadly Escape is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.

Un super petit jeu! Un Resident Evil Pixel art bien amusant! seul probleme pas de point de sauvegarde. c'est assez fachant mais sinon pour le prix c'est vraiment cool!

Je n'ai pas passé un bon moment, pas du tout... en soit c'est pas un mauvais jeu. Le problème c'est que c'est lent, pas de Checkpoint. Tu meurs et tu te retapes tout le niveau en plus il y a des bugs le nombre de fois que j'ai galéré a accéder a la porte bloquée pourtant j'ai forcé. Et surtout le jeu n'est pas fini et il te vende ça comme ça, comme un petit pain, que tu manges en 30 seconds. Même dans la sélection des niveaux c'est écrit "Coming Soon" et pourtant sur Steam il n'est plus en Alpha et le créateur n'a pas fait de mise à jour depuis les années 80. Après je dit Bravo parce-que c'est un Développeur Indépendant. Mais le pire c'est qu'il continue a créer des jeux dans le même univers sans avoir finis le premier de la licence... dude. C'est du foutage de gueule, ça me rappelle ce Créateur, comment il s'appelle déjà ? "Kiddy" s'il te plait ne tapes pas "Dude Simulator" sur Steam, s'il te plaît... ne fais surtout pas ça gamin !

Its a great top down pixel shooter. good simple graphics, easy to control and play. would reccomend. 5/5

Solid foundation that has since been abandoned and remains rife with bugs.
