“Probably the best downloadable title on the market right now.” 9/10 – Eurogamer.se

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

On my LONG list of backlog games, Deadlight has been patiently waiting for its opportunity to shine. That opportunity came with my purchase of the GPD Win Max 2 (trust me I could do a whole review on that right now but prolly not the time...). I had forgotten the premise of Deadlight and quite honestly couldn't even recall why I bought it (cue Steam Summer/Winter sale advertisement), but there I was, gaming hybrid laptop in hand (seriously though, look it up, it's incredible!), ready to knock a peg off the ever scrolling Steam library... annnnnnnd.... here we go! First thing to note is how good Deadlight looks on a current gaming device! I mean sure my laptop isn't a Threadripper/RTX 4090 combo but damn it looks good with the settings cranked up! The side scrolling format really allows focus on environments and details, I found myself stopping quite often to admire the scenery as I traipsed through a war torn, zombie infested Seattle. Lighting, shadows and movement animations were all spot on and complimented by the still frame cut scenes that drove the narrative along. The sound was fitting although I found Randall's narration of his adventure quite stale and stereotypical. Background music was quiet, tense and at no point overbearing. Gameplay was fantastic and really dragged me into some of the tense moments, requiring a combination of basic puzzles and quick reflex jumps, gunshots and zombie beatings with an incredibly useful firefighter's axe! I loved the effort to make a 2D world feel alive and explorable! Deadlight reminded me very much of a side scrolling version of TLOU, which is by no means a bad thing. The writing obviously pales in comparison but the vibe sets itself well and for an approximate 3.5 hour playthrough Deadlight does a fantastic job of immersing the player into Randall's plight. Solid 8/10 for the one. Thanks for reading!
Deadlight is a survival horror platformer game developed by Tequila Works and published by Microsoft Studios, released in 2012. The game is set in the year 1986 in Seattle and follows the story of Randall Wayne, a survivor of a zombie apocalypse who is searching for his family. Graphics: Deadlight features high-quality, hand-drawn graphics with detailed environments and character designs. The game's art style is dark and moody, creating a believable world that is overrun by zombies. The graphics hold up well even several years after the game's release. Sound: The sound design in Deadlight is excellent, with a haunting soundtrack that sets the mood and accentuates the action. The sound effects are also well-done and add to the overall immersion of the game. Story: The story of Deadlight is well-written and engaging, following Randall Wayne as he searches for his family and tries to survive in the zombie-infested world. The game's narrative is well-paced and has plenty of twists and turns that keep players interested. Gameplay: The gameplay in Deadlight is a mix of platforming and survival horror. Players must navigate through the dangerous and zombie-filled environments, using stealth and combat to survive. The game also features puzzles that players must solve in order to progress. Good Points: High-quality, hand-drawn graphics with a dark and moody art style Excellent sound design with a haunting soundtrack Well-written and engaging story Mix of platforming and survival horror gameplay Challenging puzzles to solve Bad Points: Linear levels with limited exploration options Repetitive combat Short length Conclusion: Overall, Deadlight is a well-made survival horror platformer with high-quality graphics, excellent sound design, and a well-written and engaging story. The mix of platforming and survival horror gameplay, as well as the challenging puzzles, are highlights of the game. However, the linear levels with limited exploration options, repetitive combat, and short length can detract from the overall experience. Final Score: 7/10
