It will challenge your platforming skills and your precision as you explore a futuristic megastructure built around a gigantic Tower. Explore hidden paths full of danger, find the original Sparks and maybe you will end the current Cycle.
After an endless fall through powerful magnetic storms... you awaken.
Your memory erased, you start exploring the world around you until you spot the most gigantic Tower emerging from the mists.
Deep inside, you know the only way to get answers is to reach its Summit.

Use your SwitchGun to activate or deactivate complex mechanisms and the numerous patrolling entities.
Find upgrades to improve its powers and unlock new moves - like the Dash - allowing you to take new shortcuts and explore new areas of the Tower.

In addition to upgrades, many collectibles are to be found to lift the veil on the origins of the Tower: Sparks that unlock new challenging levels, Logs that contain memories of former explorers of the megastructure, music Tracks to build a custom playlist for Speedrun Mode…

Reviews
I wish I could recommend this game right now but the inconsistent framerate kills it. Everything else is superb : the new SFX are orgasmic, the atmosphere is breathtaking, and I particularly enjoy the end-of-level personal score screen. However, my framerate is incredibly inconsistent, with highs around 165FPS and lows at 30FPS. What's even more troubling is that such drops can happen within 5 in-game meters of each other. And they're a pain in the ass when you're trying to make your way through enemies and moving lasers with your head upside down from an antigravity module.
this is peak 3d platforming expirience
Deadcore (OG) is one of the first games I ever got on PC. A big fan of FPS puzzle games (portal series, The Talos Principle etc.) and with a history of shooter games - this was an immediate intrigue to me. It also lit a fire for an interest in speedrunning which I'm yet to quench 10 years later. This game makes you feel fast and makes you feel like a speedrunner effortlessly. Its hard to start with but once you get it - it just makes sense. The more you learn about this game the more I'm amazed - it seems very surface level but if you care to dig deeper there are so many layers. The movement in and of itself is a puzzle to be pieced together: booster dashes, super jumps, etc. When you realise that going the "intended route" is often slower - finding out the fastest route is so much fun. Then you realise where you lost a second here or there the speedrunning addiction has already set in This game is awesome, I consistently came back to the first game over and over so was psyched to see they were dropping an update. The graphics are sick, the sound design improved, and its fun to notice all the small changes in the levels. Would 100% reccommend. Also - if you match your sensitivity to other FPS games, I find this is a great aim trainer
The graphics are better yes, but the sounds have been downgraded pretty much across the board. The game doesn't run with a fake framerate anymore, but many physics based effects still do, especially G-Mod which visibly lags. The physics feel similar, but I'm not 100% sure they're the same, I'm leaning more on "an imperfect copy" instead of a 1 to 1 porting from the previous version. They won't fix the sounds because why would they, and I don't think the things stuck at a low framerate will get fixed either if the issue is still about making the physics not freak out like it was in the original. The graphics settings are very very poor. Maybe it will get patched and I'll turn this review positive, but I have my doubts. I'd rather play the original even if the graphics are really dated, at least there everything feels consistent framerate wise.
This game is really good, its an amazing unique Platformer mixed with Puzzle and Parkour mechanics in FPS leading to an unique very cool experience, definetly recommend to try it out! Some of the best things about this game are: + Amazing Level Design, non linear, multiple paths, multiple endings and a lot of secrets to find and explore. + Impressive Soundtracks and Sound designs, really hard work got put into these and its just amazing how good it sounds. + Redux adds a lot of new Textures and FX never seen before compared to the OG game which looks really good in 4k at max settings, a lot of detail in the textures and models. + Ranked system and leaderboards to hunt down new records with the community and you friends. + Deep hiddden Lore that you must decipher to understand whats happening and why you are there. 11/10 If you love puzzle games and action you may like this.

Everything that made the original great in a modern package. If you haven't played the original, the movement is exquisite. Feels good to do it all again.
