Even though this is the most disliked out of the series, it's still a good game. Only wish EA would take the time to make Dead Space 4. But we all know that'll never happen.
Masterpiece. Dunno why so many bad reviews. It's shares very unic universe of previouse games, not this game killed franchase, gamers is.
just go for the limbs!
An ending to the legendary trilogy .. a tough-ie at that .. on one hand .. one of the best COOP games to this day .. on the other, a dissapointing final entry to the franchise .. Why break Issac and Ellie up? Why a pointless triangle drama? If anything .. Ellie should have been your COOP partner throughout the entire game, and the two should have been together, hunted by the fanatics .. the game desperately needed a slower movement for the characters and enemies .. Capcom did it right with RE5, they are the only ones who did, sadly .. why speed everything up? Make it slow, tactical and a survival .. like DS and DS2 only with coop friend .. Aaaaaaaand the biggest issue .. is the ending .. seriously? I have nothing, but respect, for Visceral Games original developer team .. but this final entry in the franchise stinks like the EA Mass Effect 3 story and ♥♥♥♥♥ ending fiasco all over again .. such a shame .. Despite these points, which people justly give this game a finger for .. It's still a great game, so if you got a buddy to play with .. go for it .. Nuff said ..

turn of the overlay or else the game is an abusive dad beating you for saying 1:0 on a football match against his fav team who lost
Dead Space 3 is the black sheep of the Dead Space franchise with its attempts at diverging from the Survival Horror aspects into a more action 3rd-person shooter game. HOWEVER, let me be clear that even though this review is a negative one I still believe Dead Space 3 had its charms no matter how little they were. As some people say, it's a good game but not really a good Dead Space game. The reason to this being the prior mentioned departure from horror, the microtransactions for loot added to the game by EA, the complete and utter shift of previous characters entire personalities and basically making them someone completely different, and finally the complex crafting system that holds little in guiding you what to do. Beginning with the crafting system I believe honestly that it encourages pushing DMG upgrades onto your weapon to make an entirely busted weapon that would shred through Necromorphs entirely. Either that or you bumble your way trying to create a gun but then turn back to the pre-mades that are trusty such as the Plasma Cutter or Pulse Rifle. The microtransactions in this game are a big red flag since they are mainly just for resources which in turn means you get barely enough to make a couple weapons from your scavenger bots. Finally, the storyline is split into Co-Op sections that you can only access if you have a friend or someone else that is going to play Dead Space 3 with you. You cannot access some of the storyline if you don't have another person which really turns me off when wanting to replay this game any further. Some good things about Dead Space 3 though I believe are the set pieces that the game puts you in as well as the bosses themselves. They feel imposing and threatening when you do encounter them when backdropped against the snowy planet of Tau Volantis you find yourself stuck on. Overall, I would suggest waiting for a sale on this game to get it and would recommend playing the DLC Awakened for what the developers really wanted Dead Space 3 to be like.
