Dead Rising returns with modern graphics in this Deluxe Remaster!

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Sep 8 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
📸 Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster 📸
I went into this remaster with genuine skepticism. Reviews were somewhat negative, and having played the original on Xbox 360 (and a bit of the first Steam remaster), I was afraid this would be a disaster. After actually playing it… I honestly don’t get the outrage. This remaster is *good*. Surprisingly good.

✨ The Great ✨

A faithful graphical update that manages to modernize the 2005 look while staying true to the original’s spirit.
The soundtrack remains untouched, and the game’s signature charm shines even brighter now.
Quality-of-life improvements are excellent: functional AI, slightly longer-lasting weapons, and far less clunky controls.
Fully voiced dialogue adds personality and warmth to scenes that were previously silent.

⚠️ The Not So Great ⚠️

Maybe it get's a little too easy in the first run, which makes me desire a *Hard* mode
The avalanche of paid DLC is tiring. It’s not essential, but it feels unnecessary for a remaster.
The outrage about the removed “erotica” photo category feels exaggerated — 95% of the content is unchanged, and the previous remaster still includes it.

💬 Verdict 💬
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster respects the original, smooths out its roughest edges, and brings a ton of comfort improvements without losing the game’s identity. Well-optimized, charming, and fun — far better than the negativity online would have you believe.
If you like the OG you will love this one. Lots of QOL updates and the survivor AI is not as frustrating as it was in the OG. Voice acting throughout the whole game not just cutscenes. The mall feels heavily updated too! However, there are a ton of bugs. The 3 prisoner car respawns when it is not supposed to. Kents mission can get a bug where you cannot choose the photo so you can't actually complete it. This happened to me after I chose a photo that didn't meet his expectations. Reloaded my save and it never gave me the chance to choose again.
Pretty decent 'remaster', although I kind of miss the original voices / voice actors. That being said, they have added more speech for what used to be just subtitles. Frank's new voice is at least okay, and certainly better than what we got in DR4. As far as I can tell, a lot of mechanics are more or less the same. A few appreciated QoL changes (particularly the aiming controls, health for wepaons in stock). There is a way to pass / speed up time, but unless I'm mistaken, its only at save points. I'm still on my first run, but I believe total zombie kills also carries between playthroughs. I think there are a few more 'interactions' from survivors around giving tips. For better or worse, this is DR1 though. Survivors can still be infuriating. The game is picky about where survivors are in proximity to where you are exiting (in some moments almost feels a tad worse). Despite the flaws though I always had a soft spot for the first game. I thought the graphics looked awesome back when I first played it in 2007. Being the first game it meant some weapons were OP (Small Chainsaws, Real Megaman Buster), along with some of the books. The level up system is both satisfying, and annoying, given some of the skills or stats are pretty forgettable, where you're hurting for stock initially. All in all a pretty decent remaster that preserves the original for the most part. Definitely preferred waiting for a sale though.
yep
Fantastic Remaster.! The new voice actors have definitely grown on my after a few replays. The new Frank is alot better than the DR4 Frank. Great Job! The gameplay dynamics are a wonderful upgrade from the original. The Psychopath bosses were very fun! Visually the RE Engine looks amazing. Couple Gripes, The Small chainsaws got nerfed and the Real Mega Buster got nerfed. The Park seems very empty. However the Mall looks great and "lived in" CAPCOM if you read this " I would love to see a Deluxe Remaster 2 with Chuck or a spin off of Off the Record with Frank. Keep making Dead Rising!
