About
Dead Oculus is a lethal, fast-paced bullet-hell that fuses arcade and roguelike elements.
Brutalise your foes in gauntlets of handcrafted arenas by wielding deadly weapons with cataclysmic augments.
Dead Oculus has over a quadrillion possible build combinations. Boons are designed to mechanically relate to each other, which ensures meaningful, new, and outrageously powerful synergies on every run. However, instead of limiting your hero’s strength, Dead Oculus offers challenges to match your power level. You will become overpowered, but so will your enemies.
Although Dead Oculus allows you to assemble godlike builds, you are never reliant on them to win. While difficult, a player with great skill can theoretically beat the game without ever taking a hit. Dead Oculus offers a deep input system which allows for a high level of skill expression.
Dead Oculus is a roguelike, but your journey only starts after you complete your first run. Every completed zone unlocks a new, harder run with new enemy types, modifiers, and/or difficulty levels. If you finish zones without having your eyes gouged, you add them to your eyeball collection! The larger your eyeball collection grows, the more weapons, boons, and challenge zones you unlock.
Dead Oculus features an original soundtrack by Hault
