I normally wouldn't put a video for a game that I refunded, but I think there needs to be a PSA for the games current state: https://youtu.be/Mrw7-PRLTm4 Honestly I was going to leave a pretty mean review because the game in it's current state is unplayable, but I gave it another look just to try and see if there were any redeeming qualities and there are a few, but with the game being unplayable I'm still refunding it at the moment and might pick it back up later if it gets fixed. I had ONE run where my second battle wasn't the 90-120 health enemies while I have a whopping 45,50, or 55 and honestly, that run looked promising I had to take a route where I wouldn't fight but 3 people, but it felt like my deck was ALMOST getting playable and fun then I got to the boss with a whole 200 health 120 health guy who shouldn't be in the game at the start at least and was summoning 30 health spiders. The balancing in this game is horrendous at the moment and I think the creator could have used the feedback before releasing the game for 10 dollars as I honestly don't think it's worth the time to play for free at the moment. The relics do seem strong if you go the one route where you can get them,
While I love all the genre tabs this game was trying to hit (deckbuilding, rougelite, dark/horror) "FAST-PACED" is understating it and the only thing about to 'get rekt' is you my dudes. Word to devs: figure it out c***, what do you want your mobs to do? How strong do you think they need to be, b/c holy hell fighting a mini-boss every fight where they gimp your deck, debuff the crap out of you and damn near everything has more HP than the character, you would need to pray for decent rng to even get to the boss. I. DON'T. CARE. if you drop high powered attack cards early, when a spawn-spammable mob can fill your deck with curse cards that deal damage approx. equal to your starter attack cards and you CAN'T get rid of them easily mid-fight. AND EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THIS GAME USES 98% OF A GTX 1070 FOR THIS MID TO LOW RES GAME To the players: go play Slay the Spire (and the Boss edition) and actually have fun, this game you're just going to 'get rekt'.
Don't buy this game, it is just a waste of money. You won't be able to beat the boss at the end of the first level and usually you won't be able to reach it. The easy enemy are hard except the first one. Enemies give you curse cards that stay in your hand, after each draw you end up with more and more curse cards in your hand until you only have curse cards in you hand. The last update on September 15 didn't fix the balance of the game so you won't see any of new features they mentioned. I think the developers just made it impossible to beat the first level so maybe the last update is just a fake update just to make people buy the game. Also, the mouse has a delay when moving on the screen and you will always play the same map which give a 5 minutes gameplay in total.
Terrible game balance. Impossible to beat at the moment. Lack of variety in cards and enemies. Boring and bland. The one positive review raving about the game is obviously either paid for or written by the studio itself. Avoid
Good start. it has chances to be nice game sometime :)
