About
10 years of horror. 10 years of jump scares and close calls. 10 years of brutal sacrifices and thrilling escapes.
Trapped forever in a realm of eldritch evil where even death is not an escape, four determined Survivors face a bloodthirsty Killer in a vicious game of nerve and wits. Pick a side and step into a world of tension and terror with horror gaming's best asymmetrical multiplayer.
Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey.
The Survivors' goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer - something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play.
• Survive Together… Or Not - Survivors can either cooperate with the others or be selfish. Your chance of survival will vary depending on whether you work together as a team or if you go at it alone. Will you be able to outwit the Killer and escape their Killing Ground?
• Where Am I? - Each level is procedurally generated, so you’ll never know what to expect. Random spawn points mean you will never feel safe as the world and its danger change every time you play.
• A Feast for Killers - Dead by Daylight draws from all corners of the horror world. As a Killer you can play as anything from a powerful Slasher to terrifying paranormal entities. Familiarize yourself with your Killing Grounds and master each Killer’s unique power to be able to hunt, catch and sacrifice your victims.
• Deeper and Deeper - Each Killer and Survivor has their own deep progression system and plenty of unlockables that can be customized to fit your own personal strategy. Experience, skills and understanding of the environment are key to being able to hunt or outwit the Killer.
• Real People, Real Fear - The procedural levels and real human reactions to pure horror makes each game session an unexpected scenario. You will never be able to tell how it’s going to turn out. Ambience, music, and chilling environments combine into a terrifying experience. With enough time, you might even discover what’s hiding in the fog.

There are so many reasons as to why this game is bad and why I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The state of the game is now worse than ever. The community is incredibly toxic and rude. A simple strategy such as slugging a survivor (leaving a survivor on the floor, and not hooking them) could cause many survivors to go as far as sending death threats to the killer or doxing them. In recent years, this has become way too normal, to the point that it happens to many people several times. Survivor mains are infuriating and insufferable, and they complain about every single thing possible. They have the advantage in-game, yet still nitpick about things that are their own fault. Developers have lost their focus on actually improving the game and making the game fun for both sides. Developers only focus on survivor mains and their ideas, completely leaving killer mains out of the picture. Killer mains are constantly criticized for their opinions and NO ONE listens to them. Only favoring survivor mains has affected the game a lot; the game is heavily survivor sided and unbalanced. Yet, the developers still continue only listening to survivor mains. They keep trying to make the survivor experience better by constantly adding factors that decrease tunneling and camping even though they're completely valid strategies. This has just caused more hate from the killer side, which is understandable. To quickly mention, the cheater count has also gotten up a lot, and it would be great if cheaters got banned but no, the developers clearly don't care about reports and I don't think they really care about much else anyway. Many times have they banned completely innocent players. A big problem in DBD is the constant repetitive content whether it’s the gameplay, killers or events. Doing generators and looping has been the core gameplay mechanics in the game ever since the beta, with no improvement at all. It's boring and every match is just the exact same as the previous one. There are ways to make the game more fun, with certain perk builds that for example focus on skill checks, but the fun in that doesn't last for very long. It's at least a bit more fun on the killer side, but even then, the killers are now getting similar kinds of powers. Teleporting, dashing and having throwables are powers that various killers have. This makes the anticipation for new killers more boring, since they're all just the same slop OP bs. What is the point in waiting for new killers if it's just the same boring and repetitive content? No BHVR, releasing OP killers is not going to make the game balanced, it will just cause more backlash from the survivor mains since they have to face the same boring and annoying killers over and over again. This will also make survivors abuse certain perk builds that have too many second chance perks, and I think that makes it quite unfair for a lot of killers. It's not the killers’ fault anymore; survivors can just rely on luck and their OP perks. Instead of releasing these killers and perks, we should focus on reworking a bunch of unfair perks, as well as reworking older killers that have been forgotten because their powers are way too useless compared to certain other killers. Most chapters released these days are just licensed chapters that are rushed. To actually play the characters included in these chapters, you'd have to waste your money, of course. The game is just pay to win, since most of the OP killers are licensed. HALF of the chapters are licensed. The game lacks original chapters with characters that have actually interesting backstories. Its ironic how the focus is more on skins that serve no purpose in the game, than on important new killers, survivors and maps. One good thing in the game is the shrine of secrets, since it will allow you to buy perks from licensed characters without wasting real life money. However, this relies strictly on luck, and will likely take a long time if there's a certain perk you're looking forward to getting. Also, the 10th year anniversary was a disaster. Everyone was expecting something unique and special, but it turned out to just be the same slop they’ve been giving us all these years, just even worse. It was also a heavily survivor sided event, to no one’s surprise. The survivors could literally turn invisible, teleport, heal instantly and rebuild pallets, while everything that killers got was some useless poison that you can counter with a certain perk. Not to forget, BHVR was also very greedy with the event offering cakes. On top of this all, the game is NOT beginner friendly. There's hardly any useful tutorial from BHVR for either side, so new players have to learn everything by themselves. With the huge amount of killers, survivors and perks, it will no doubt take a long time to learn everything. It seems that the developers of DBD don’t know much about the game itself, and will happily just toss the job of teaching new players how to play to popular streamers or youtubers. Playing as a beginner isn't a fun experience. The matchmaking is so bad that a new player with barely any hours might face an opponent with thousands of hours. Playing this game alone is a PAIN and putting up with soloQ is hell. Frankly said: Never play survivor without a friend. The horror aspect of DBD has almost completely vanished. I don't remember the last time I was actually scared by anything in this game. If you're looking for a good horror experience, this is NOT it. The uniqueness of the game has also faded away. The new rift system is basically just a copy and paste of Fortnite’s quest system. The quests itself are also very boring and not engaging at all compared to the old Tome system. With all of this being said, I absolutely wouldn't suggest this game to anyone, unless you want to be addicted to a mentally draining game.
Дада забаньте меня на три дня в дбд за ♥♥♥♥♥♥ вылет из-за серваков нищих
Disregards lore of original characters of the game for licensed dlcs, laid off employees, and gaslighted the playerbase with nerfed spawnrate of cakes. and to really put salt in the wound, thrown killer players under the bus to baby noob survivors with busted perks that get abused by experienced survivor players. I have about 300 hours of playtime on this game on steam, but I get matched against players with more than 1.5k hours and even 3k+ hours. Not to mention the constant rubberbanding from this game, to the point I've been warped around trying to hook someone and costed me 2 gens. and don't get me started on the easyanticheat! It would kick me out for just playing the game because I validated the game files 5 hours ago! Yet another 5-15 minute ban wait and a loss of grade. Mathieu Cote.. buddy.. Labor of love?
HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED HATE? HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED TORTURE? HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED SPENDING 7 MINUTES IN QUEUE JUST TO BE MET WITH SOME OF THE MOST IDIOTIC PEOPLE YOU'VE EVER MET WITH SUCH A MASSIVE EGO WHILE ALSO RUNNING MIND INFURIATING PERKS THAT'LL CLEARLY DRIVE YOU INSANE? DEAD BY DAYLIGHT IS ONE OF THE ONLY GAMES WHERE THE DEVELOPERS OF SAID GAME WILL LITERALLY ♥♥♥♥ ON THEIR PLAYERBASE WHILE TURNING A BLIND EYE TO ANY FORM OF TOXICITY WHATSOEVER, FOR THE PAST DECADE THIS GAME HAS BEEN RIDDLED WITH NOTHING BUT EGOISTIC PEOPLE WHO'LL LITERALLY TEABAG IN FRONT OF YOU IF YOU MISS A HIT OR EVEN FAIL TO PLAY THE GAME PROPERLY ALONGSIDE NARCISISTIC DEVELOPERS WHO'LL LITERALLY ♥♥♥♥ TALK YOU IF YOU EVEN SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THEM IN THE SLIGHTEST. BEHAVIOR INTERACTIVE IS FILLED WITH NOTHING BUT MORONIC PEOPLE WHO CALL THEMSELVES "DEVS" EVEN THOUGH ALL THEY DO IS SIT ON THEIR ASSES AND TALK ABOUT COSMETIC CHANGES INSTEAD OF ACTUALLY WORRYING ABOUT GAMEPLAY, THE BALANCING ON THIS GAME IS GENUINELY SO HORRID IT MAKES MY EYES WATER BECAUSE OF HOW MUCH UNBALANCED SOME CERTAIN PERKS ARE AND THAT MOSTLY GOES TOWARDS SURVIVOR PERKS, BECAUSE WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥ DO YOU MEAN A SURVIVOR CAN GUT A GENERATOR'S PROGRESS BY MORE THAN 50% IF I HOOK ONE OF THEIR TEAMMATES AND ON TOP OF THAT THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO STARE AND TEABAG AT ME WHILE LOOKING FROM THE EXIT GATE INSTEAD OF JUST LEAVING ONE DAY I HOPE THAT THIS COMMUNITY ENDS UP BOYCOTTING BEHAVIOR FOR HOW MUCH OF A ♥♥♥♥♥♥ CORPORATION THEY ARE, THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT IF PEOPLE SIMPLY STOPPED PLAYING THIS ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ASS GAME ONE DAY THEN THEY WOULD EVENTUALLY CEASE TO EXIST.
