Can’t wait to play the last stages and reunite the band> Distributing slap and punches to the rhythm of disco, hip-hop, k-pop and heavy metal in Dead as Disco is the most fun I’ve had in a while. Play the demo and take on a hulking, bass-wielding recreation of Johnny Rotten to the beat of Maniac, and try not to have the biggest grin on your face 😊 This game must be commended for [b] how satisfying the core gameplay loop feels. [/b] After 5 minutes of tutorial, the mechanics stand out of your way, and you can easily lose yourself to the beat and reach that elusive flow state. Crisp and responsive moves, forgiving dodge & counter windows, fevered special moves, stylish takedowns, this is [b] Hi-fi rush pushed to perfection, with an insane attention to boss levels [/b] [hr][/hr] [h2]2026 Night Fever[/h2] (+) [b]Crisp, snappy, euphoric gameplay[/b]. This is the core of the experience and the devs nailed it. Hitting airborne enemies, performing finishers to the beat of the music, it all feels too good not to bob your head and tap along the rhythm. (+) Outstanding presentation, from the boss transition phases, animated cutscene, crowd going wild around the stages. (+) Impressive [b]original soundtrack with multiple songs in the style of each band member[/b], along with old classics that are a perfect match for the aesthetic. Catchy tunes! [hr][/hr] [h2]Suggestions to improve the Early Access[/h2] While the game already feels fantastic, there are some points which can be further refined. (-) [b]Collectibles game needs some QoL [/b], it’s quite important for the storyline but not super convenient to know what to find and where to look for it. Could use a “bookmark” feature from pause menu, and a “reminder” on stage selection. Despite a bright orange outline, the items are not so easy to spot in some stages (-) Custom songs uploading and BPM setting is a bit of a hassle despite the “tap to the beat” feature. Would be cool if it could be auto-determined. (-) [b]The game-changing feature would be the ability to link with streaming services [/b], as Audiosurf 2 managed to do, as this has become the default music listening experience for so many of us. I barely own CD or keep mp3 anymore.

This game is pretty amazing, and the music is sooooooo tight.

This might be one of the best games I've played since The Witcher 3. Genuinely amazing and can't wait to see it's development
