garbage game, 12yr old on roblox could make a better game then this. not worth the money whatsoever.
Honestly seems like a stuck-in-development cash grab. A couple dragons based off HTTYD, one looks like it's from James Cameron's Avatar - game will never leave development. No closer to the full release since 2020. Game is still in early development and they already have DLC and Patreon locked emotes, dragons, etc. Sucks.

Funded this game on Kickstarter and it ended up doing nothing with half a million and six years of work.
I want to like this game. I really, really do. But It isn't worth the money. They have yet again released a Community skin as a DLC you have to pay a whopping 15 dollars for, which was initially intended to be a cross between two very hard to get skins to add to the gameplay. The community has turned small and extremely toxic, far different from the pre-1.0 release. As someone who has been playing this game since the Legacy stages, long before 1.0 was even teased, with well over 600 hours of my time put into this game, I wouldn't bother. Recently playing the legacy branch, while the gameplay had less creatures, it was significantly better. Even the flight system has gone down in quality. There's more to my grievances that other reviews cover. This was simply my final straw. I'm tired of trying to like a game that keeps getting worse, the devs focusing on the money they can get from every little thing that doesn't matter before the actual gameplay and their community. I'm sorry.
Very bear bones. There is not much to do once you grow. If you don’t have a clan you’re dead and sometimes finding a clan can be hard. Updates are rare and almost never when they say it will happen. If you like dragons like me then you could get it but I don’t recommend this game
Going on seven years, this game has barely changed. The devs promised a lot and have hardly delivered, though the game does have potential (though maybe I'm just having a bit of Stockholm Syndrome since its way too late for me to get a refund). The map has had a lot of improvements since launch, but it still feels empty. There's spots where prey spawns, rivers, caves, but nothing that stands out. The addition of a new, larger prey animal (the snapper or something?) is good, especially for the adult stages. However, hunting as a solo juvenile is still a very dangerous experience, to the point it gets frustrating. I would love if there were more points of interest around the map. Maybe waterfalls, hidden caves, spires or very tall trees to fly around as a start. For those like myself who prefer a solo experience, once you're grown, it's kind of an "okay, now what?" situation. Secondly, I think there's too many dragons you have to pay for. Yes, I know you can be nested as any dragon, but I don't want to beg random people to play as a specific kind of dragon. Not everyone is online to roleplay, I like spawning in and surviving. Currently, the Flame Stalker, Shadow Scale, Inferno Ravager, and Brood Watcher are available for free. The Acid Spitter and Blitz Striker are DLC, and the Bioluminescent dragon is exclusive to backers or supporters, I believe. I have no issue with cosmetic DLC like emotes or skins, as they're just that, cosmetic. Paying for specific dragon species is too close to a "pay to win" situation in my opinion. I hope the rest of the dragons are free to play, then a few paid species won't seem like so much of a cash-grab. A way to fix both these problems: you can pay to unlock skins or species immediately, or you could earn some sort of point system via quests (for example: hunt a creature without taking damage, fly for a certain amount of time, hatch another player in your nest). This would give you something to do once your dragon is mature and motivate people to play for longer. The points could be used for skins, species, etc. One of the biggest problems, in my opinion, is false advertising. Considering their promotional video on the storefront notably features the Bioluminescent, Acid Spitter, parts of a map that don't exist, a sand worm and fire elemental that aren't in the game, this feels EXTREMELY misleading. I feel any reasonable person browsing Steam for a new game would assume those are features currently available upon purchase of the game, without additional transactions. Gameplay trailers are supposed to show what the game offers, not what you have to buy on top of everything else. If I had bought the game now and learned of its current state, I would have refunded it and waited until the devs actually made the game they promised to. I understand delays happen and problems arise with every game, but it's constant at this point. Every update has something promised, and ends in "it'll come later." Like the boy who cried wolf, I simply don't believe them anymore. The devs seem more interested in your money than actually making a good game. I can hope they kick everything into gear soon and actually release something worthwhile, but until then, I can't honestly recommend the game.
meh too little content litterally just a sit down game where you sit in one spot for hours growing your dragon pretty much the only thing to do is kill other players with your firebreath or other breath and most servers are pve chillax servers that just bores me further not worth 19 dollars plus id like pve content where i could play solo or with just a friend or two and not have to rent a server graphics are a 5/10 rest is garbage.
This game is a scam. It’s pretty obvious the devs want to just milk it for money, most of their discord post are about them selling plushies, or more DLC’s. Also half of the dragons are locked behind a paywall. The flying is clunky, it takes forever to grow your dragon (4 HOURS AND IM NOT EVEN HALFWAY THROUGH JUVENILE) and you’re more likely to die than have any semblance of fun.
scam
I only played 1.3 hours and I probably got some things wrong so take my review with a grain of salt Alright I'm just gonna say this dont buy the game right now basically theres nothing to do, there's no tutorial, nothing on what to do or even what your controls are I had to look up a guide for this game and search through my keybinds to even figure out how to find any food or water theres only three dragons you can play as... two are locked behind quests (which you arent shown how to get to) two others are behind paywalls the rest? I dont know I'm guessing they're just not available at all despite this game being out since 2019 there's literally more DLC then there are dragons to play without buying. theres basically nothing to do unless you like socializing with people and sometimes "surviving" no you wont have fun in the pvp servers dont try it unless you hate yourself Flight mechanics are a little... jank, it's difficult to understand and I had to look at my keybinds twice to make sure I was actually gonna go up instead of crashing down, YES you will die if your dragon suddenly decides to just take a left and hit a tall tree instead of going the direction you wanted! Pros: Dragons! yipee! cool dragons! Cons: Does not teach you what to do or even how to play the game, theres not much you can currently do in this game and is generally not worth the price for basically just a forever early access sandbox Maybe I'll come back to this game eventually but right now it's just not worth the hassle and there's barely anything to do, if they add more things to the game I'll happily come back and try it out but so far, NOT WORTH IT!
