Do not waste your time. This game is just a reason for the developer to help others groom younger kids. Multiple servers had borderline pedophile behavior and rampant grooming from all genders. Plus, the game is just dog water as well and has turned into an ego cash grab.
Have put around 200 hours into this with friends and members of the community I can definitely say you SHOULD NOT GET THIS GAME! I love this game and the potential it has however the dev and specific community members have ruined it with greed this game having multiple paid dlc and a 20$ price tag for what is essentially a nothing burger that has well over a few hundred thousand dollars put into it is nothing less than greed. I’m not typically the kind of person to be concerned with content release schedules in games however when you make plans and fail to deliver on those still years after and start making paid dlc I find it truly frustrating and honestly insulting. I want to love this game and hope the best for it but nobody NOBODY should buy this!

okay so like... this is one of my fav games problems though. 1: the devs are... VERY money hungry. everything is really overpriced when it comes to expansions and everything. not worth their prices since you can just ask someone to nest you as that dragon and theyll gladly hand over an egg for you to hatch as 2: its got a LOT of bugs and glitches. i get that its early access still, but i feel as if the devs are trying to distract us from the obvious flaws-- that can be easily fixed with time and effort-- and instead throwing more updates out that arent well done and as of late just add skins more than actually fix things. 3: i wasnt even able to TOUCH the main game without it immediately crashing on the LOWEST setting on my old pc from 2022. it was a gaming pc that was barely a year old when i bought the game. i was confined to the Legacy version of the game (which in my opinion is better than this if you want consistency, although its discontinued) now onto the good. 1: its got beautiful graphics, even on low. much detail was put into this, not so much thought... 2: accurate flight- well, not totally accurate of course. its accurate enough that it isnt just flapping up and down like the wings are just a single bone, they actually look like a bird flap. 3: in my personal opinion, the people in Dragons Legacy of the game are very nice. the community isnt overly rude and treats others the same as a normal person would. overall, the game is a solid middle road 5/10 for me. theres a lot of good things in this game and i love playing it just to fly around. but you need a hefty gaming laptop or a good pc to even run the main game. Dragons Legacy is a cheaper and better option in my opinion! its the same game, but just an older version with much better growing, eldering, skins, and system in general. its got lots of different skins and plenty of ways to get them. Dragons Legacy is only $5-ish USD and doesnt require such a beefy computer. if it can run a roblox game, it can run Dragons Legacy.
To say development is moving at a snail's pace would be a massive understatement. There is almost no content. What very small amount of content there is available, a good portion of it is locked behind further paywalls after already purchasing a completely unfinished game. Not to mention the server admins are a joke, and most of what little community is left isn't much better. This developer is completely shameless.
I wish refunding was still available after having it for this long, I’ve been waiting years for good content updates, but most of the content added are just cheap models that are ripped off from other franchises..disappointing.
i never post reviews, but i feel like i should say something about my experience with this "game". tldr; dragon models are garbage, the hud is garbage, and its extremely boring. models the models are awful to look at and the animations are semi-okay but definitely still need work. the models are clunky and soulless. you get the wonderful choice of basing your decision off of thumbnails, which are not even the models themselves but artwork of it. theres no previews, the stat description is confusing to look at with its placement, and more than half of the dragons you could play are grayed out with no description on how to get them? hud as far as the hud goes, its practically non existent. you get a small stamina bar at the very bottom of your screen with some icons off to the right side and a compass at the top but thats about it. cant have a minimap to know where youre going (i get the want to realism but some players, like me, need a map to know which way is up). even a toggle for it to appear would be fine imo. you can open the "character screen", if you can call it that, and see more details but its layout is so.. awful. i couldnt even figure out how to change tabs/make the cursor appear because i just happened to miss the quick pop up for the control. gameplay theres no npc animals for you to hunt and eat as a carno baby, so you have to eat the only thing it lets you. poison mushrooms. cool. it makes you super sick and you cant do anything about it. even then, i dont think it really impacted the health bar at all.. so... whats the point? and, since youre a baby, you cant do anything against the older dragons. while i understand its a pvp type of game, i think this games player base is ridiculous. youve somehow managed to grow past the baby stage, and now youre kosing every baby you come across. wonderful, great job. when you dont know anyone who plays this game/has played this game, it gets super boring, super quick. theres quite literally nothing to do. no tasks like P.O.T., migration quests/markers, nothing.
Half-baked gameplay loop. There's barely anything to do besides PvP, or breeding for stats that you can't use anywhere in PvE. The devs are putting out cash grab DLC dragons and useless skins instead of finishing their game. On top of everything, a lot of dragon designs feel like rip-offs of popular dragons from other media. The flight mechanic is what attracted me initially. It's great in concept, I like the difficulty of it, but very poorly executed. Works great in a straight line, but any other time it feels like piloting a giant plane instead of a dragon. It is not realistic to how a creature with mobile, flapping, wings would fly; the physics behave like plane physics. Performance is meh. Thunderstorms notoriously tank your FPS. Not worth it, DON'T BUY.
I have owned this game for more than 3 years - it is NOT worth it. Jao never keeps to the promises he has made since 1.0 release, there are less than 300 active players, game is HORRIBLY unoptimized (you can barely run on lowest settings with a high end pc, you will get less than 40 fps on a good day) and realistically, there is no content. Hackers THRIVE on the 2 pvp servers that actually have anyone on it, not to mention of the 30 people that migh be on, 25 are likely just 5 people on different alt accounts. Don't make the mistake I did and waste your money, you will regret your decision I promise you. This game had so much potential, but I (like countless others) have lost the patience or respect for Jao and his team who do little to nothing to actually develop this game after the MASSIVE kickstarter funding they received in the beginning.
Was ist daraus geworden?
