Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Darwinia is a unique mix of real-time strategy, action, and puzzles, featuring an innovative gesture-based control system. Save the Darwinians, battle viruses, and solve challenges to restore order in a stunning, retro-inspired digital world. Winner of multiple prestigious awards, including the Seumas McNally Grand Prize at IGF 2006, Darwinia is a must-play for strategy and action fans alike.
Step into the vibrant world of Darwinia, a digital theme park created by the eccentric Dr. Sepulveda, where evolving AI creatures called Darwinians live. Their peaceful existence is disrupted by a dangerous virus, and as a hacker, it's up to you to save them. Dive into this corrupted digital realm, battle the virus, and uncover the mysteries threatening the Darwinians' survival.

Darwinia blends real-time strategy, action, and puzzles in an exciting mix. Control "programs" to fight viruses, herd Darwinians, and complete objectives. With a unique gesture-based control system, you draw shapes to summon units, adding a fresh twist to the strategy genre. As you progress, new abilities and tougher challenges keep the gameplay engaging.

Darwinia's retro-inspired, polygon-based visuals transport you to a colorful, abstract digital world that feels like a love letter to 80s classics like Tron and Defender. Its striking style, combined with fluid animations, makes it visually timeless. The game’s unique blend of nostalgia and modern flair led to widespread acclaim, winning multiple prestigious awards, including the IGF's Seamus McNally Grand Prize. Now fully remastered for modern systems, Darwinia’s classic charm shines as brightly today as when it first launched, making it a must-play for both old and new fans alike.

Bought this game back when it came out on CD. Still fun to play today and was pleasantly surprised to see it still receiving some patches

Çalışmıyor, ne yaptım çalışmıyor.
Darwinia provides a refreshingly simple set of options in the real-time strategy genre. You get a very finite unit cap and the starting options of (basically) a combat unit or a non-combat unit. As the story goes on you learn the narrator's high value of the Darwinian's ability to act largely autonomously is represented in-game; the Darwinian Commanders don't detract from your limited unit cap, letting you rally them to fight without detracting from your very finite unit cap. Interestingly enough it's not hard to see where a lot of the other Squad-based hero-strategy games came from... Your combat unit is a "Squad" and they may do different special attacks as you gain those options.
I like the vibe, I like the simplicity and the complexity included in with that

my favorite multiplatform native linux games well one of my top ones got this on disc form bestbuy years ago. re-bought on steam years ago. deserves more than 775 reviews and mostly positive. it's a simple game and not super long but, fun as a game to toy with. there is also multiwinia and i see Darwinia is getting updates again with mentions of mods. maybe fan made levels or something?
One of the only RTS I've ever finished. That and Pikmin 1.
