Great aesthetic art and stuff
MOAR.
A solid deduction game with some rough edges. Gives you enough to solve things, but won't handhold you all the way there, which I liked. But once you have the evidence it should be obvious who it is. If I had failed to solve it though that might have been more frustrating. If you fail three times then you need to replay from the beginning, and given most of that replay would be repeat conversations I don't think that would be fun. Likewise, there are some alternate endings I don't intend to explore for this same reason. The platforming is not as refined as one might like, but there's really only one instance where it's at all demanding. Actually, I found it almost odd how little it was required given how the game goes out of its way to give you so many platforming paths, yet they remain thoroughly underutilised. I would have liked to have to dig up more evidence to close things out. What I did really enjoy it how fully realised the world seems. You partake in only a small part of it, but it really does feel like it extends far beyond the horizon.
I really enjoyed this! An overall serious game, but I loved being able to jump around the city in a very un-serious way. Good cast of characters. The game has a defined end, but the world building and world events leave the door open for further games which I'm hopeful for!
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the game. The graphics are a delight, even though I had to run with special settings to get this properly run on my old PC. The game is not too long for a standard playthrough, but it's well made that once you start to play it's hard to let it go. So I recommend this for all those who enjoy atmospheric games. I could call this a bit "old-school" style, as you need to read what you're tasked to do as you don't have quest markers on the map.
A very fun and thought provoking puzzle game. The in game notes and the profiling makes it a little easier to keep track of everything which I appreciate. The world building was well done and interesting. I loved the sound effects for when you move the cursor over different options and the background music was perfect. A very interesting story overall with many twists and turns with each piece of information gained. Art style was very unique and pleasing to look at through my playthrough and the voice acting was very well done and very fun. Will be recommending to my friends and anyone else who likes mysteries.
Genuinely such a fun and engaging game. Challenging almost to the point of sometimes being frustrating, but in a way that only motivates you to keep exploring and looking for more clues. Like every indie game out there it certainly doesn't lack in flaws and small bugs, especially since this was developed by a single person, but i honestly don't feel like they take too much from the game (dare i say they kind of add to it's charm). Definitely worth it, hoping for a sequel and more Darkway games!
Interesting game with a lot of charm. The writing and world building are the strengths of the game. I am not sure if I found all of the evidence, but I did seem to come to the right conclusion anyways. Fun experience if you like games for style and presentation over mechanics and moment-to-moment gameplay. A great first game that has a true identity.
Really really really good. I haven't been this excited about a game in a while. I was immediately gripped by the world with its interesting characters, unique story, and awesome world building. The sound design is also very good, but I have to say I was disappointed with the voice acting. The poor quality takes away from the immersion and I found the inconsistency distracting at times. Like actors talking too fast, hearing them breathe into the microphone, inconsistent accents that were all jarring to listen to. My only other gripe is the typos and grammatical errors. Regardless I'm really impressed and super excited to see more!!
fun game, cool worldbuilding
