Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Aug 8 → 3.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

good
My favorite Darksiders. I love all 4 games, and each one plays very differently. This game is a mix of Zelda and Dark Souls. Combat can be a little tricky to get the hang of at first, especially since this game is much deadlier than the other 3. Once you get the hang of the combo timing, you can consistently pull off perfect dodge and revenge attacks it gets very fun. The same 90s comic book aesthetic of the other games is alive and well here. The enemy designs and overall look of the world is great. Fury herself can look pretty cool once you get the new powers. Each of your Zelda-esque pickups dramatically add to both your combat and exploration repertoire. The big bad this time around is the 7 deadly sins, with Lust being the lust for power, instead of something carnal, as to avoid pushing this out of bounds for family friendly. Each one is wildly different then the others, and there are some really unique and interesting takes on some of them. As for our horseman, Fury is the only one of the 4 that has character growth. She starts out insufferably arrogant, and is very unlikable. As she takes down the 7 sins she sees an aspect of her personality reflected back to her in each. She is brought low, and forcibly humbled, then has to examine herself and rebuild who she is as a person. No longer the prideful executioner of the unknowable council, Fury becomes a heroine with a cause. It's well told, and I really enjoyed it. People always seem to dock this game for points because it isn't like DS2, but I don't think that criticism holds up in modern day. The expiration date for being disappointed in changes has long since expired. We now a have a fourth (and even more different) Darksiders, with a fifth in the works at time of this review. Darksiders 2 was great, but each entry is unique and this game can definitely stand on it's own merits. P.S. The only real difference between "classic mode" and normal combat is that in classic mode you can dodge cancel out of your attack animations, but in normal mode you are committed to your swings. You press the button, you live with the consequences. This makes classic mode a hidden difficulty setting, making combat much more forgiving but wiping out a significant percentage of the Dark Souls flair this game is going for.
I have mixed feeling. Overall, it was a great experience, in story mode... If you go for higher difficulties, well, the harder it becomes the less enjoyable it becomes as well. To begin with, the dark souls elements were useless as ♥♥♥♥. I wanted to rip my face off at every moment the game told me "look, look, I'm doing like dark souls", ♥♥♥♥ off pls. You had a franchise with a clear identity and yet you thought it would be great to do like every monkey studio that released a souls like games because they think a lot of ppl love dark souls. Well, in fact not, it's just the souls community is more prone to leave a comment and a note on a souls like games. But most ppl, who buy hyped souls games, don't play those game for more than 10h because they remember at some point they dislike it and don't have the time to play them. Yes, this game still kept some of the original concpt which made it a lot better than any souls like I ever played but the overall experience was meh at best. Still, graphics are good, musics is epic and the story is still in line with the precedent titles so on those note, the game is great. The dodge mechanics leading to a parry was great and if you chose to go for a gameplay experience closer to the darksiders it's actually a very great game most of the time. I just hope they will give us back the map and darksiders fighting style in the 4 while forgetting the souls element for most part.
