Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Aug 8 → 5.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I wrote a negative review for Darksiders 3 in which I explained that I could easily recommend Darksiders 1 and 2, but I had yet to write anything for Darksiders 1 and 2. I'm just doing this here to offset my negative review for Darksiders 3, in large part because I want to one day see a Darksiders 4. Edit: I should have noted, while I am generally in favor of Darksiders 3, I am not a fan of its combat; it is largely the combat that ruined the experience for me, which I explained in that review. I also think that if you like 1 and 2 then you should definitely play 3. You may as well play Darksiders: Genesis, too.

Much worse than Darksiders 1. The whole game loop is around doing stupid puzzles (they are easy; they just take a lot of time to move around) and fighting hordes of enemies in locked rooms. Camera work is absolutely terrible, and you will get stun-locked every time you get hit. Enemies are boring; you are fighting mostly skeletons and constructs, whereas in D1 it was angels and demons. The story is also worse, and you can freely sleep through it. Basically, they turned it into a braindead button masher with puzzles that would bore an average 5-year-old kid after 15 minutes. It's also super buggy, you can expect wonky mechanics, enemies healing back to full health and a few CTDs.
Keeping my review negative because it makes no sense you have to do this BUT you can set the game to "public beta" mode in the properties and it will totally fix the crashing issue. Luckily another review hinted me in on this. Not sure what the difference is but as far as I'm concerned it's all I needed to enjoy the game.(and it's amazing!)
APOCALYPSE LEDGER: AN EVALUATION OF DEATH
The First Horseman has embarked upon an unauthorized, rogue crusade across the veil to expiate his condemned brother, War. My duty demands a strict evaluation of this massive undertaking, which stands as a monumental epic of dark fantasy, towering far above its more linear predecessor. Within this grand chronicle, the pale Rider navigates a vast web of dying underworlds, attempting to undo the premature extinction of the kingdom of man. It falls upon this ledger to weigh whether his cosmic labor achieves true equilibrium or collapses under its own colossal weight.
MECHANICS OF THE CRUSADE
The subject navigates these wide, desolate realms by shifting continuously between fluid, acrobatic wall-running and intense, multi-tiered combat encounters. His primary method of resource collection relies on shattering thousands of ancient stone urns to harvest currency, which he then spends at specialized merchants to secure randomly generated armor and weaponry. Traversal through the major strongholds requires the manipulation of macro-level environmental mechanisms, forcing the entity to roll stone spheres, ignite dormant explosives, and deploy spectral clones to unlock sealed chambers. The entity splits his martial development between an offensive Harbinger path that amplifies physical blade strikes and a Necromancer discipline that summons ghoulish thralls to draw enemy attention. Throughout this thirty-hour endeavor, progression is segmented across vast overworlds connected by intricate, subterranean vaults, where backtracking with newly acquired traversal relics opens previously inaccessible treasure caches.
BOUNTY OF THE REAPER
Executing lethal combinations with twin scythes delivers an extraordinarily swift, satisfying loop of violence that rewards mechanical precision. Striking a perfect balance between action and strategy, the introduction of randomized, color-coded gear provides a deep layer of statistical personalization for crafting critical-hit builds. Visually, the grand architectural scale of the various realms, particularly the towering monolithic structures of the Forge Lands, creates a breathtaking sense of majestic desolation. Haunting, acoustic-heavy musical compositions by Jesper Kyd infuse every cavern and ancient citadel with a deeply memorable, melancholic atmosphere. Seamlessly woven into the environment, the platforming segments offer an elite sense of vertical freedom as the pale Rider scales massive cliffs with effortless agility. Confronting the gargantuan bosses scattered across the campaign requires tactical adaptability and clever usage of newly acquired dungeon tools rather than mindless button-mashing. By integrating all historical expansions directly into the overworld, this package ensures a massive, unbroken deluge of content that easily provides dozens of hours of exploration. Finally, a dedicated combat arena known as the Crucible challenges the most hardened combatants to test their builds against scaling waves of enemies for legendary tier rewards.
THE FRAILTY OF THE SOVEREIGN
Upgraded lighting and shadow systems introduce severe, systemic frame-rate stuttering that constantly disrupts the fluidity of combat during dense visual engagements. Flawed interface architecture frequently triggers a complete freeze of the cosmic engine whenever the entity attempts to exit his inventory screens too rapidly. Traversal physics suffer from brittle collision detection, causing the Horseman to regularly fall through solid geometry or become permanently fused into climbing vines, a frustrating anomaly that mirrors the jank found in Darksiders III. During crowded skirmishes, the lock-on camera behaves erratically, routinely spinning away from active threats and trapping the Reaper in inescapable enemy stun-locks. Sound engineering within this version exhibits severe corruption, resulting in distorted combat audio, delayed dialogue triggers, and occasional complete silences that ruin the dramatic weight of pivotal scenes. Ultimately, lacking a robust manual checkpoint system transforms these frequent technical crashes into catastrophic logistical failures that completely erase hours of hard-won progress through the underworld.
THE BALANCE RENDERED
This lengthy expedition successfully merges the grand dungeon puzzle philosophies of ancient classics with the intense, stylized combat of titles like Darksiders: Genesis. It expands the scale of the universe tenfold, though it occasionally stretches its pacing thin across the barren fields of the Kingdom of the Dead. The underlying code remains an unpolished, fragile framework that desperately requires frame-rate limitations and manual graphical adjustments from the operator to remain functional. For a meager toll, this package offers an immense mountain of content, though the included expansions vary wildly in narrative quality compared to the main questline. It remains a flawed, agonizingly unstable masterpiece that rewards patience with brilliant design, provided you can survive the technical decay.
Grade
Final Rating: 77/100 Employee: Death receives this commendation for delivering an exceptional, beautifully scored action-RPG triumph that is dragged down heavily by a poorly optimized remastering engine that constantly threatens to collapse under its own ambition.
