I completed this game on another account, and while this might just be my personal opinion, many might see Squig as the main character, but for me, it's Brae. His heartfelt quest to find his lost love, culminating in their beautiful reunion in the afterlife, was truly wonderful!
Short, Sweet, and Solid game. There aren't a lot of deckbuilders that aren't roguelikes, so if that is what you want (It is what I really want) then this isn't a bad choice. I would make a couple of quality of life changes, but overall I think it is pretty fun. I ended up liking the characters, but wish they could have explained some stuff better. The combination of thinking about where to place characters and deckbuilding is pretty fun. I wish they made it heal after every battle, because realistically it is just a chore sometimes to not have that. Also, when I finished the game, I had a FTK deck. I hope they don't nerf it because it was pretty fun lol.
This game can be challenging, but also forgiving. I got into some slug fests when I took a poorly-selected team into some fights, but I was still able to pull them off successfully. Positioning matters. It's always a dance between getting out of the way of attacks, being in the right place to hit the enemy, and using defensive skills to just tank the hits. I did die a few times, including the final boss fight. I was able to come back some time later (shortly before writing this) and remember the combat flow well enough to beat that final boss sequence without anyone falling below half health. The story was engaging the entire time. I expect I will play it again some time.
First 20 Minutes Gameplay Here First things First: Don't forget to change the combat speed in the options menu if you think the combat could be faster! Here we have a game which I played, left aside, played again, tried again and again and again etc. I just couldn't get into it and I really don't know why. I mean the story is great, the graphics are decent, the combat... well the combat system was a "thing" I funnily enough had to get used to it... I meant it's not that hard, it was just... There's something I can't put my finger on... So as of the game, the first 20 something minutes were really boring for me. The game pushes a lot of information into these minutes, and you start to get used to them after some play time - and- Well it's a card battler, each character has it's own set and you can upgrade your cards plus, there is the synergy thingy. I mean, I can't say it's a bad game. It's just that it's definitely not something I would play. And since there is no maybe button I'm gonna go again with Thumbs up! Try it out for yourself and get your own opinion :D
The "vibe" is fine, but gameplay is so boring. Need some tension, more cards variety, more upgrade systems and stuff to do!
Nieco rozwoju drużyny, mechanik - oraz duża różnorodność umiejętności postaci i wrogów tworzą ciekawą mieszaninę, choć do systemu walk trzeba nieco przywyknąć...
OCENA: POZYTYWNA = 7.5-8/10
Jednocześnie trzeba też nieco tych walk rozegrać by poznać te zależności i nauczyć się nią grać.

Obserwuj kuratora WIDZOWIE HAKIEGO
►https://store.steampowered.com/curator/31951226/
Więcej informacji w recenzji:
This is by far one of the most shallow deckbuilders I've ever played, which is a shame because the systems exist to support something much more robust. Having movement as a defensive option in addition to your standard block cards is interesting, but almost impossible to use in a meaningful way since enemies usually hit your entire side of the field. Card options are incredibly limited and boring. Enemies defense and health drastically outscales player damage, reducing every single fight, no matter how trivial, to a tedious slog of waiting to cycle through your deck enough for kills. There are way better options out there if you want a deckbuilder with some kind of unique spin.
A nice deckbuilder with an enjoyable story. Some of the fights are frustrating, but overall each character feels different and fun to experiment with.
Pretty nice Card Battler. The Game oozes Character, especially with Norton playing off pretty much everyone. That Goofball is just too likeable. The Battles are pretty decently balanced and the different Characters have interesting synergy between them. Give it a try!
