Tactical Carnage Awaits
What if Into the Breach had a full campaign? That question sparked the creation of Dark Pact, a game designed to push your tactical skills to the limit while delivering an emotional, gripping story. Inspired by Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, and Into the Breach, Dark Pact aims to stand alongside these legendary titles. Does it succeed? Play the demo and find out!
Victory isn’t just about dealing damage—it’s about control. Abilities in Dark Pact don’t just hit hard; they push, pull, taunt, and disrupt, keeping the battlefield in constant flux. Creativity is key to survival.
Earth Splitter – Deal damage in a line and push adjacent units
Blast Off – Launch the target and push back the caster
Boomerang – Strike multiple targets in a single throw.
Face an ever-changing roster of foes, each requiring a unique approach. Battle cowardly goblins that scatter under pressure, raging minotaurs that charge headfirst into danger, and flaming skeletons that explode on impact. Every encounter is a fresh tactical puzzle.
Every chapter ends with a high-stakes boss fight, testing everything you’ve learned. Precision, strategy, and mastery of the battlefield are the keys to victory.
Combat in Dark Pact revolves around displacement and enemy manipulation. Every attack is telegraphed, giving you the chance to intervene at the perfect moment—redirecting enemies into each other’s attacks, baiting them into deadly hazards, or launching an ogre straight into a pit of lava. The most effective strategies aren’t always obvious, but they’re always satisfying.
Are you ready to test your tactics? Try the demo and see if you can master Dark Pact!

I’m not a fan of the AI-generated assets. Combined with store-bought art packs, the visuals end up looking bland and mismatched. The UI is basic, but functional. Music, sound effects, story, and dialogue are all barebones (likely AI-made as well) with the ending feeling abrupt and anti-climactic. Overall, it all feels a bit awkward. This has all the elements of a very amateur and unpolished indie game. So why the positive review? Simple. I love turn-based, grid-based tactics games (although this is mostly a puzzle game). Unfortunately, it’s a niche genre that doesn’t get nearly enough titles. Because you see, the gameplay here is surprisingly decent. You control four fixed heroes who each unlock four push/damage skills, clearly inspired by Into the Breach. While this game is galaxies away to matching ITB’s polish, it still scratches the itch well enough of figuring out how to push allies out of harms way, move enemies to hit one another, set-up combos, you know the drill. I’ve beaten the standard difficulty and am even considering a second run on the harder settings. So yes, I’m a bit morally conflicted about recommending what feels like a mostly AI-generated game... but the tactics/puzzle genre is so starved for content that I’ll take what I can get.
A charming and excellent turn-based tactical RPG where you'll need to be clever and use positioning/environment instead of brute force tactics made popular by other games in the genre. It's definitely a creative way to approach the genre and I think this game does it well. The trailer of the game on steam, in my experience, is a very accurate representation of the game so if it looks fun, I think you'd enjoy! I sure had a blast with it and would recommend it! Happy Gaming!
Clever games curator review: 6/10. A turn-based puzzle/tactical strategy game that is only styled like a 90s era RPG. Even from the very second level the path to victory is quite demanding and there is no room for error, thus making this much more of a puzzle game than anything else. Plan out the exact sequence of moves that leaves your enemies in the locations that they will not be able to kill you before the win condition, etc. This highlights another aspect of the game, which is you won’t necessarily know you’ve lost until later. This is mitigated largely by the excellent quality of life features, with unlimited undo and even a warning icon that if you end the turn as it currently stands you’ll be dead before your next turn starts. There is an adjustable difficulty setting, which hints that there are multiple solutions at least for the easier settings. This was not obviously true, however. In fact at times it felt to me more like there were no solutions. I am by no means a hard-core tactical strategy game player though. In any case I think this is definitely meant for the more serious player, even if it’s possible I’m just bad at this kind of game. If you waltzed your way through games like Future Wars or Wargroove and think this might be kind of like that I assure you: no. Even though it should be fairly clear that I didn’t really enjoy this, I still feel very comfortable recommending it. It’s well implemented, it looks great, and the units have interestingly different abilities to play off each other. If you like this genre, and this level of difficulty, I think this game will deliver quite a bit of enjoyment for you. bonus fact: works great on touch screens.
Great little puzzle strategy game. Will keep devs on watch list. Game-play is pretty good, a bit like into the breach. Shame no customisation but the levels are pretty well generated, i think hand crafted. I am playing on hard difficulty, nothing to compare it to atm, first run through. Only one level was really boring and was a 20 turn limit to reach a point... had a lot of restarts to figure out the puzzle but again could be hard mode. Got tired streaming it after about 4.5 hours, brain tired. Great for me though, i like being kept on my toes. Lots happening in the game, might not be for the easily distracted. IMO give these guys some support, we don't have many gems comming out these days! Try the demo, i did and got hooked
Dark Pact is a fun and entertaining turn based fighter puzzle game. I enjoy the fact that every turn and every decision matters. In a tight game of life or death! There have been some tight spots in battle and what is an awesome feature is that can save you is there a rewind button so you dont have to do the entire level over because you made a bad move lol. The characters in the game are well done as far as skill and even dialog. The levels themselves percent a decent challenge and of course get tougher the deeper you get in the game. Just remember control the battlefield! Try it, in my opinion well worth the money!
Challenging, player friendly and fun! The fairly open tactical nature of the levels allows for different strategies and unit synergies offer loads of options. The access to unlimited rewinds (per action or per turn) greatly helps exploring obscure combos. Enemy telegraphed actions for their turn are well designed and greatly help make informed decisions. Each unit has its own skill set that expands as you unfold the light story, there's no xp or level up system here. I had a lot of fun on normal difficulty (eventhough i'm not smart enough to beat the Final Boss).
turn-based tactics perfection, it's clear so much love went into this
Jogo promissor, mas me enagnei profundamente.
Cute but pretty short.
