PC Gaming Through the Years: A Survey - #12 (2006) I'm attempting to finish one game with a Steam release date from every year from 1990 to the present. This had been sitting in my backlog for five years, and hadn't checked off 2006 yet, so I gave it a shot. It was fun! The combat was not for me, but the stealth was well implemented (even without individual enemies having visible detection meters), so you didn't actually have to do too much until the late game. Whoever said you see hints of Dishonored was right, though this is still a rougher, less experienced Arkane. So, kind of perfect for my 36-year survey of PC gaming. I don't think any reviews here have actually called it an "immersive sim," because it's not, and... it's really not. It's somewhat like on-rails Dishonored with stealth options about 60-70% of the time (and probably magic stuff too, though I never really tried that). That being said, it does force you into combat a lot more than Dishonored, which really dampened the experience for me. Especially at one particular point where you are not only forced into a duel but also practically banned from using magic. That being said - normal difficulty wasn't too bad. And it was cool to see Arkane's development from their earlier years. Graphics were nostalgic, seemed standard for '06. Refreshing to see beautiful women in games. I didn't need mods or anything to run it on my PC (Windows 10), but there was a glitch where it would crash when I would alt-tab out to check something when it was first starting up.

Başta mekanikleri dolayısıyla alışması oldukça zor geldi bana, özellikle yakın dövüşte birden fazla düşmanla dövüşürken çok sık kılıç darbeleri alıyordum ancak artık biraz daha alıştığımı söyleyebilirim. Oyunda büyücü, okçu ya da şövalye olarak dövüşebiliyorsunuz. Kendi tarzınızı oluşturmanız da mümkün, oyun bu konuda oldukça esnek seçeneklerle size birnevi yardım ediyor. Ben şahsen başlangıçta şövalye olarak ilerlememe rağmen kısa bir süre içinde büyüler öğrenerek büyücü odaklı gitmeye başladım. Başlangıçta en büyük sorun (büyücü sınıfı için) mana yetersizliği. Oyuna 20 mana ile başlıyorsunuz ancak hem yeteneklerle hem de bulduğunuz ekipmanlarla bu seviyeyi artırabiliyorsunuz. Bu incelemeyi yazdığım tarihte oyun 1.99$ değerinde. Bence almaya kesinlikle değer.

Dark Messiah of Might & Magic I need play properly this game to finish it and understand but from beginning this games shows you good interesting gameplay, its like from firtst person meelee sword and shield combat or wizard magic combat in might and magic universe with few puzzles and physics on engine source from half life 2 not but in 2006 but now this games looks quite old stylish gem where you can play single player company not multiplayer because people forget about this game in ages of existence. Moreover i feel something worm and close to this game after Heroes 3 . Works fine in my old pc laptop.

Honestly just a fun romp. If you like Arkane games you'll probably like this game. A little misleading on "build as you want" because you're kinda screwed if you dont spec hard into at least one of the trees but all the builds are fun. Classic stealth archer is busted as always but fighter and mage are also both really fun. Story is kinda nothing but its still fun background to the enviornments. Nowhere near dishonored or prey but you can see the bones of what eventually becomes Arkanes style.
