Entertainingly bad

Not much to this HO. Simple straight forward couple hours of diversion. Bargain for a couple bucks.

A short, direct adventure with no bonus chapter to ruin its beauty. It is a Romantic beauty filled with mystery, beautiful landscapes and the supernatural. It seems that a witch is behind the disappearance of your friend's sister. You as an English investigator must put an end to this, but are you worthy? Beware: there are supernatural creatures on the way and many dangers. You could even hear humans screaming all around you. Be sure you are not the next. PROS: - Beautiful landscapes; - Romantic Era plot (the Gothic novel); - Clean and concise game (no ruinous bonus chapters); - Fast-travelling map; - Handy hint button; - I just love the diary (reminds me of Vampire in Love); - Very different HOs and minigames. CONS: - No Steam achievements; - That's all. It's totally fabulous if you have your headset on and it's dark outside. A wonderful experience. I feel the need to read Anne Radcliffe's novels now or Samuel Taylor Coleridge's Christabel. The last one is better.

Definitely worth nabbing if you like hidden object games. This one is harder without being impossible, which is great. Only run into one puzzle where I had to play monkey throwing darts to complete it. One of the better ones.

Looked promising and for the first few scenes it was quite fun. The puzzles became pretty easy soon enough though and the events got more and more nonesensical. A lot of puzzle you would not be able to predict the location of without the spakling hints, which for some reason we could not disable. For the pricetag the game is way to short. In conclusion: Good Idea, nice vibes, bad execution Wouldn't recommend
