Danger!Energy — логическая головоломка в футуристическом сеттинге. Игрок использует неоновые лучи, чтобы освободить виртуальный город Сантермония от тирании главного виртуального контроллера. Задача — соединять точки линиями, решать задачи на логику и проходить уровни с нарастающей сложностью. В игре около 80 уровней, 5 тематических наборов локаций с уникальными механиками, есть достижения Steam. Доступна на PC, поддерживает русский язык. Плюсы: около 80 разнообразных головоломок с постепенным усложнением; 5 тематических наборов локаций — каждый со своими геймплейными особенностями; футуристическая антиутопическая атмосфера и неоновая стилистика; интуитивно понятная механика (соединение точек линиями); поддержка русского языка; достижения Steam; компактные сессии — удобно играть понемногу; низкие системные требования. Минусы: только одиночный режим — нет мультиплеера; монотонность механики на поздних уровнях — может наскучить; некоторые головоломки кажутся неочевидными без подсказок; минималистичное звуковое сопровождение — музыка и эффекты быстро приедаются; отсутствие обучающего раздела для сложных механик; визуальная простота — оформление может показаться скучным; возможны баги с отображением лучей или коллизиями; линейность решений — мало вариативности в прохождении большинства уровней. Итог Danger!Energy подойдёт любителям логических головоломок, неоновой эстетики и спокойных игровых сессий. Игра привлекает количеством уровней, тематическим разнообразием локаций и футуристической атмосферой, но из‑за отсутствия мультиплеера, повторяемости механики и слабого аудиосопровождения может не заинтересовать тех, кто ищет динамичный геймплей, разветвлённые сюжеты или соревновательные режимы. Хороший выбор для тренировки логики и расслабленного прохождения головоломок в стиле киберпанка.

"Danger!Energy" is a simple console (Xbox) ported puzzle game that looks like more of a mobile app than a console game, let alone a PC game. Yet here we are. What do you do in the game? Put your finger on your iPhone screen and draw a path through various nodes to solve puzzles. There's 80 levels, but more of a bad thing doesn't make it better. And wow, 4:3 aspect ratio. This was probably developed on a monitor they found in a dumpster. Which, perhaps ironically, is where this product landed very shortly afterwards... it was a dismal failure for obvious reasons. While I couldn't find this on the mobile app stores, everything about it looks and feels like it's a mobile app designed for mobile phones... for PC gaming enthusiasts, it's not going to give you a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That alone is enough to disqualify this from any recommendation. We don't spend thousands building gaming rigs so that we can pretend they're iPhones and play iPhone games and mobile apps. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $7 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. It's also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who paid money for this... nobody got refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. There's no financial cost up-front, but you'd still be spending your time and a little hard drive space on a product that's far from the best. There's thousands of better alternatives on Steam.

It is a fun puzzle game, that doesn't feel overly hard. But you need to first wrap your head around the idea with the lights that needs to be connecting to restore energy flow. The plot isn't that relevant, but it is a nice touch. Started it a few years ago and enjoyed it, now picking it up again and it is still fun.
