Now I understand the mixed reviews. after beating the game.... there is virtually nothing left. in fact you are dumped back to before the final mission, its really lame. so many plot holes and story parts that are never filled in either.

This is one of those crack type games.
This is peak friendslop actually. Only consider if stat chasing is near the bottom of your group's priorities, and if you enjoy their presence in general. This game scarcely takes away from that and occasionally even enhances it, but I can easily see that it's capable of putting you through torment while alone. So only worth the 80% off price as an group impulse buy, since it's still around double or more the price of the "Shoot the ♥♥♥♥ with friends" category of games.
This game is a ton of fun, despite a lot of weak points. Combat and gathering new parts and tech is an addictive blast. The armor and character designs are excellent. I have had only 1 crash in 30 hours of play. This game has the worst writing I have experienced in years. The story is overridden with cliches. It isn't even worth following. The characters are picked from a list of the weakest anime tropes, and the English dialogue is abysmal. The dialogue was obviously direct-translated from Japanese to English without localization, a disturbingly common practice among Japanese devs and publishers. This is also the worst motorcycle and horseback riding game I have experienced... yes, you read that correctly. They could have made the effort to polish a lot of other aspects of the game, rather than add these mini-game aspects that are executed extremely poorly. The card-game minigame is another aspect that adds nothing to the actual game. Even with all those negative aspects, the rest of the game is a joy to play. I even enjoyed the arena combat aspect, which is a shift for me. This feels a bit like the "Gremlins 2" of video game creative direction LOL

Spec requirements say that this game should run on at least gtx1050 gpu In practice, (running on a 1650, on an SSD with the recommended available RAM) this game is still loading in scene critical assets, even as the scene is playing *after* spending minutes at a time in a loading screen. I know Unreal Engine's been getting a lot of flak for running like hot garbage for a while now, but this level of bad is just inexcusable.
