Nice little platformer. I wish it had any steam cloud support at all, as if you switch from PC to steam deck it does not port your progress between the two. As someone who played the first two on switch (never completed them lol) I saw that the originals on steam have achievements, i would've bought them separately if i new this one didn't have achievements because it should.
I LOVE DADISH
I wish my Dad was like Dadish. Well maybe he is. My Mom says he fits the description. Anyways, the Dadish collection is great!
this game is just utterly AMAZING its a perfect collection of all the dadish titles. no dumb changes or gameplay changes just the whole thing. i LOVE dadish and the series and this is one of my favorite steam games by far
In short, Dadish Collection is all three games of the Dadish trilogy in one game, with Dadish 1 and 2 based on Dadish 3... and very buggy There is nothing new in terms of content in this collection. The games are the same, but Dadish 1 and 2 have been ported to the Dadish 3 base and engine. Therefore, Dadish 1 has a convenient map, Dadish 1 and 2 has slightly different objects, more readable double jump animation, vibration support, and controller layout in the interface, as well as other minor details that were in Dadish 3. However, these changes are so minor that there is no difference between playing a game from the collection or the original game separately. I don't understand why this collection is necessary if it could have been introduced as global updates for the originals. And the collection itself doesn't offer anything new. Not only is the collection more expensive than each game purchased separately, but it is also significantly more buggy than the original games (at least on PC). And it's not just the lack of achievements... in some places in the game, you can walk through walls, the character constantly gets stuck in walls, the game likes to crash, and the Fowlst mode in Dadish 2 is very broken, causing constant crashes, plus eternal falling through walls. Not to mention that some sound effects have been cut from the games for some reason, and Dadish 3 has lost its unique boss theme. This collection seems like it wasn't tested at all. The game didn't have a single patch. And the author doesn't respond to bug reports. My verdict is DON'T BUY Dadish Collection. It's better to buy Dadish 1-3 separately. They work much better.
Probably the first game I have bought at full price. If it goes on a deal I will be kinda annoyed. This game is genuinely funny, its cute in a chill way - not hard and not easy. I will get every Dadish Game. Dadish is life.
The three original Dadish games have become possibly my favorite 2D precision platformers; in any case, they're the best I've played in a long time. It's one of those cases where I enjoyed them so much it's hard to know what to say. Unlike, again, a lot of platformers, they were challenging without being unfun, had hidden secrets without drowning the player in thousands of collectibles meant to inflate playtime without adding anything meaningful (this is the current biggest sin of 2D platformers), and had goofy, self-aware writing that genuinely made me laugh. There was a delightful absurdity to the tone that was well-complemented by the gameplay. In terms of play, it reminded most of Super Mario World, possibly more than anything I've played -- it was that combination of bright, cheery, incredibly weird (we forget just how weird the Mario games are...) and deliciously challenging. I enjoyed Dadish so much I bought the Dadish Collection, which includes 2 and 3, as well as Dadish 3D. While I did like 3D, there were definitely some growing pains for the dev in the move from 2D to 3D in terms of level design -- many of the levels still felt like 2D levels in a way that's kind of hard to describe. 3D was a solid entry into its genre, but not as much of a must-have as the eailier games. Be Brave, Barb, the next game from the same dev, has been on my wishlist for a while, and it looks like he released another game, Dunkadillo, just last month -- he seems to have settled on a kind of 2D platformer in a 3D style, combining the kind of level design he's clearly excellent at with a more modern look. I look forward to trying out both!
Loved it! I beat all three. I got it as a gift from my kids. Great feel for platforming, levels that are tough enough but don't make me want to rip my hair out, and funny dialogue. The controller support was a little wonky, I had to use keyboard to get in game and then open steam overlay once for the controller to recognize. I tried steam input and no steam input. The only way to get it to work was to open steam overlay once in game once per session.
One of the best indie games iv'e played in a while. Would totally recommend.
