Neat little Vampire Survivors clone. It's shorter than other VS likes but it can be a bit repetitive if you wanna complete every little thing. Especially with characters like the allies only one that just get very repetitive with their upgrades.
The way most of the upgrades just work together makes it very easy to get OP within a few waves and this is a good thing. Definitely recommend.
A good game for time killing
For its current time, I don't think the game is worth it right now. I had my fair share of fun, but it lacks in identitiy. I mean you can make the argument that it's identity is that it's balanced, which is also its worst part. It is too balanced. Like I feel like devs only focused on how the items worked with each other, rather than making everything else work well with each other. - If you are an expierenced player in the autoshooter genre, it gets stale really quick, as in you could easily brute force the same build every run. Looks different on each character but the build is still the same. - Progression doesn't feel rewarding at all. It's very linear and losing makes it feel like you wasted your time than you made any progress. Items also have a "better" version of its self, which feels like a wasted place for getting different items. - Mechanics in this game (chest, shops, item rewards, etc...) doesn't make anything more interesting or provides any variety. Just a different way to get items. Does not incentivise in any different playstyle. - Menu being sake of being a menu. You can look at it in any way, but that there is a difficulty option gives a me a bad taste. (All it does is scale up the dmg you take. I'm not sure if anything else changes, cuz I don't bother playing the easier diff.) - All stages are the same, except the last one, but it still is the same. As well as most of the enemies. Same behaviour through out the game. Bosses shoot different projectiles and they still are no threat. - Weird enemy hitboxes. (Yes, this gets its personal spot, cuz u die to the most random ♥♥♥♥).\ Overall the future can be very promising as in it could go in any direction, since it hasn't estabilshed any identity. I also would want for more "unbalanced/experimental" items implemented in the game. edit: this game is worth it
this scratches so many itches
This isn't Vampire Survivors, but it's still great fun on sale. There are a huge variety of weapons and multiple characters. I had a blast putting together totally OP runs where the entire screen is obscured by the sheet amount of projectiles. Each run takes 10-15 minutes so it's perfect for the Steam Deck or just a little mindless pew pew while listening to a podcast.
Good stuff
