This game is unapologetically fun, and it is clear that fun was the main focus of the developer. Almost all items interact with each other and the end result is consistently a run broken beyond belief. The demo got me hooked and the release version is just better in every way. Can't wait to finish unlocking everything and see what further updates will add.
Fun, and cheap. But a lot of the items are duplicated, but one is unlocked after more points and is a strict upgrade. Example : Extra holster +1 weapon. (Basically means an extra copy of your starter weapon) Double holster: +2 weapon (same, but TWO extra copies of the starter weapon.) These items stack too, so there really isn't any purpose in having duplicate except it clutters the item pool. Extra holster is nice, but there are some items that are just bad and having more copies is worse. There are quite a lot of items like that in the 100 that I've unlocked so far. So that 150 items was definitely a nice round number that they picked and couldn't think of enough unique item effects to fill it out. Still, for 5 bucks, it'll be fun for at least an afternoon or two and be well worth the money. Also there are no performance issues or bugs that I've seen, game runs well even if you manage to get 1000000x bullets on the screen at once.
I like the game. It certainly is a fun game and certainly scratches the itch but I can't recommend it at this stage: A) Balance: "create an overpowered character", or "how to throw random overpowered BS with zero care about balance" and package it as a gameplay feature. B) VIsual clutter: It gets extremely hard to read the map at times with all the effects going on. Haha surprise enemy projectile that you couldn't see. C) Lack of different strategies: Read A) as there are basically no reasons to use half of the upgrades. There are not many different strategies and everything evolves towards the same endgoal. D) Most of the items are very boring. So you can take A or À or Á or Ä or Å or Â, yeah, they are all basically A with minor twists. Nothing interesting. E) Many characters, many maps, yet all plays mostly the same, maps maybe have a bit different enemies. A classic case of "lets put very similar things together so we can increase the marketing numbers" Will the future future updates turn this to positive review? I don't know. But the thing is that *I LIKE* this game, but I just can't recommend it.
A really great roguelike that puts its worst foot forward to start with, but gets much better.I bought this game out of interest and was just not at all into it, felt super meh, generic shooter character, pretty boring items, with one character in one map, but as you clear the maps you unlock more characters that has unique traits that effects ALL items in the game (Eg the char who can pierce enemies with main bullets can also pierce with gold bullets) and the different maps you unlock has different monsters that changes how you play by introducing more ranged enemies. Then every time you clear a map you unlock a new item, and you get 40 items from leveling permanent progress, meaning there is a total of 100+ items but you start with like 8 items total. So my tip is to try and get further if it doesnt catch you, and see how it ends up feeling.
I enjoyed the demo, played a lot of the release version. +The graphics are clean and colourful. + The Characters + Fresh take on some of the upgrades a lot of variations on +X projectiles and other staples. +/- Each run your character will be overpowered at the end, which is fun for now, but I'm not sure if it'll stay that way.

Fun, easy to 100%, and encourages you to use all characters but not all power ups since you get op within a couple of scenes in. It would be awesome to have more characters and maps.
A good roguelike that's smooth and fast paced. The graphics are silly and fun, cartoonish but that adds to the appeal. Items and powerups interact with eachother seamlessly and all in all it's just a fun time. Waiting for more updates to be added, maps or playable characters would be a big plus.
Works fine on the SteamDeck WITH ONE EXCEPTION. It runs absolutely fine at 60fps consistent if you turn "Damage Numbers" off in the options. It seems the game speed is related to the frame rate, because "Damage Numbers" being on will drag the game down to about 24fps when things get busy, and it plays at like 30% speed until the screen clears and everything goes back to 60FPS again. Disabling the "Damage Numbers" option results in 60FPS constantly with no slowdowns. I am pretty sure the game speed is hooked into FPS because if you lock the game to 30FPS within the SteamDeck performance panel it plays at a much slower speed than with FPS unlocked, even though it's only using something like 23% CPU and 12% GPU. This is regardless of whether VSync is turned on or not. So yeah, turn off "Damage Numbers" and you're golden. You can have everything else turned on (Glitter, Splats) with no adverse affects.
