This is a great game. The challenge is trying to beat each wave with no enemies getting through so you get 3 stars to spend on stats. And you need every star. Just letting one enemy through gives you just 2 stars. Graphics are good - there are pools of light which cast darker shadows and change the enemy's color as the walk through them. Very atmospheric. Make sure you set quality to 'fantastic' in the box that shows up at the start. Best thing I like are the special tiles where your tower gets a boost to stats. There is a super 'S' tile that boosts everything. Sit a rocket on that and you are away. Tip for the start few levels - invest in machine gun damage and use that tower a lot. Mind you, as you buy towers their cost goes up so you can't just spam loads of the same. Good move! I would have liked to have a "start next wave now" button as sometimes I finished a wave with 15 seconds to go, although you can press the space bar to Fast Forward. Overall I recommend this game at such a low price.
Underdeveloped and nothing new to see here, feels amateurish. You are expected to loose and play the same boring map again and again and again in order to build up experience stars to spend on upgrades, but all the upgrades are of the boring upgrade 'X' by 2%, upgrade 'Y' by 2% variety. Yes, all of the upgrades are in 2% steps with zero regard for balance. Then at some point, the game deletes all your progress and you have to go back to square 1. So bad, it must be a bug, I dunno. Either way, any fun was sucked out at that point and I will never revisit this game. I paid around $3 for this rubbish, and feel slightly conned by the overly positive reviews for this game
Nice little experience of a Tower Defence, Quite a few levels that can provide a challenge without seeming unfair or too difficult. Quite cheap for the amount of content, I'd say it was worth buying if you enjoy the stragety that a game like this can provide.
This is a decent tower defense game. It has 20 different levels and 3 difficulties. You have to beat one level to progress to the next one. Beating all levels of a difficulty will unlock the next difficulty. As you beat levels you get 1 to 3 stars depending on the number of enemies that got through. These stars are used to upgrade tower strength, abilities, and cash. Each enemy reduces life by one if they get through your defenses. I never got 2 stars even with 17/20 left on my "life" so not sure how you get two as 3 is perfect and one was finishing with at least 1 life left. There are about half a dozen different towers and the same for enemies. Some levels require you to be very careful about which towers you place and upgrade as you have a limited number of points to place them and no way to alter enemy pathing. Other levels require you to think about creating routes for the enemies to follow as much as the type, number, location, and strength of towes. It took me about 22 hours to get a perfect result on all levels of the first difficulty.
Classic TD Game with interesting balance idea where more of the same type of tower costs more. Pushing you towars a more balanced defense. Well worth the money.
30/100 idiotic game design While the general idea is ok, it shows the dev had no clue about several aspects. Sadly, this includes decent AI-scripting. First levels are ok, but difficulty ramps up because dev floods you with units that can´t be destroyed by basic towers.. hard to finish the level, unless you micromanage and slow the game continuously. ZERO fun! Another Big Minus: Reviews manipulated.. last year 21 positive reviews on same day, while this game usually gets 1 review/month ;(( >>> skip it.. not even worth 1-2€
This is a solid tower defense game for a fair price with classic mechanics and upgradeable tower types (slow, stun, dmg, aoe etc) + some cooldown skills for extra damage. For every finished map you are rewarded some stars for which you can buy tower/skill upgrades in between missions. Gameplay-wise, the beginning of the map is usually hardest as it requires you to spend the earned resources immediately on upgrades/towers or you will be overrun otherwise. Later, you often wait out the waves and occasionally upgrade towers which can get a bit lengthy/boring as it is not possible to call waves early and you can only speed up to ~ double gamespeed. If you have already played "all" the TD games out there and are looking for a TD game to spend some time with, it is an OK investment, nothing spectacular though. 7/10
Good. Classic. Simple. Best case senario for a $3 TD game.
