About

Starts as Boggle, ends as Schrödinger - Cursed Words is a roguelike adventure about writing words... for a while…until words become NUM83R5, or ♔♘♙, or the infinite void.
Each run is shaped by four pillars: your Character, your Sticker upgrades, your Stamp loadout and the consumable Tiles you bring into each fight. Every attempt becomes its own cursed experiment.
In Cursed Words you build powerful synergies using Stamps and Stickers, face tricky boss encounters and push your score higher with every stage. A base level run features five stages, each one with two encounters and a boss. Beat Stage 5 to win the run, then take on special Challenges and Crown difficulty tiers that redefine the rules and push your creativity.

Blaze a path through cursed bosses and uncover secret items and challenges that completely change the way the game is played. How about all consonants? Maybe all vowels? How about no letters at all?
A whopping 300 stickers and stamps to boost your scores and break the game
11 characters with dramatically different playstyles
20 bosses that’ll try to sabotage your runs, or can be manipulated into multiplying your score even higher
26 unique challenges that completely change the rules of the game

And if all that wasn't enough, mastering each Character's Pin and playstyle is only the beginning. You can prove it wasn't just a fluke by taking on the Challenge Crowns, where Score Targets are bigger, Shops are more expensive, and you'll have to really break the rules if you want to succeed; or you can take on Quests, specific modifiers to the game's rules that will really put your skills to the test...

もじぴったんとバラトロが合体したようなゲーム ワイルドカードアイテムを駆使して「1♗E?♘♘♘QQ?9」みたいな単語を作ろう 英語オンリーだがルール理解するとこまでいけば英単語能力なくてもいけます
This game will be a serious disappointment to hardcore word game fans in the same way Balatro would be a serious disappointment to someone looking for a slightly upgraded poker game. Having a large vocabulary and knowing how words tend to be formed will serve you well, but make no mistake, this is a game won in the shop. Highly recommended to anyone who drained every drop of enjoyment from Balatro and is thirsty for more.

Ignore any negative reviews, They're all from people who didn't read the game description or watch the game preview. I absolutely adore this game, there is always so much more to do and unlock, even 20+ hours in I'm still finding new things in game. The game makes you want to 100% it, and that's my goal. I urge anyone seeing this review to try this game, its funny, obscure, and an interesting premise I haven't seen in other word games. You can make actual words or 'play chess', 'poker,' and use other random symbols. I Love this game to the point where I dream about it. Play it.
My first session lasted 2 hours and seemed like 10 minutes. Second one was much the same and now we are here. Bogglatro is damn good. Jokes aside, the game is solid and highly addictive.
This word rougelike has to be the best executed one I've seen. The combos, mechanics, and builds are extremely clean and very well designed. There's only one thing I'd like to see - something that all word games lack, which is a way to view definitions. It would definitely help the longer words stick in my brain when I see them, and be funny to see "A type of exotic fruit" after a word is said.
The game is extremely solid, with an absurd amount of depth and content. The shopkeep offering advice, and the shop catering to your build are appreciated improvements on the genre. HOWEVER, it can also be unintuitive as hell. The lack of tooltips to explain things really hurts, and there's so many times where items *should* overlap based on their description, but don't. A lot of items that tell you "X tile counts as Y," but then items that care about Y don't trigger. Lots of times where it's unclear why something isn't working, even though I theoretically met the requirements. And I had to look up how to unlock characters, because the in-game hints are so unhelpful. Recommended, but be warned that a surprising number of cool builds just don't work for arbitrary reasons.
This is one of the most degenerate word games I have ever played, along with one of the most degenerate counting games and chess games I have ever played. Really easy to get absorbed into, satisfying gameplay loops, charming presentation. The demo gives you more than enough to decide if it's for you or not.
This game is great! Starts of like you have to actually spell words then rapidly devolves into utter nonsense of putting together broken builds to get past increasingly unfair challenges. And there's delightful hidden stuff you discover as you play. Highly recommend.
I wish steam had a rating between "yes" and "no" , but it doesnt. This game really hooked me during the demo, and the ability to really get creative with your "words" is fantastic during the demo. Unfortunately for me, the novelty quickly runs out and it just feels like a word flavored balatro after a bit, which is kinda the point, but it just lost me in how complicated it can get, feeling more like modded balatro (and not in a good way) then "Cheating but with words" if that makes any sense. I wouldn't recommend it unless you genuinely find what you see in the demo worth your time seeing more.
This is the kind of game that makes you ask the big questions, like "is 'exherited' a word?" and "why isn't 'exherited' a word?".
