An old school RPG adventure/thriller with zombies, rituals, damsels in distress, and a talking dog because why not. Takes 1-2 hours to play through and there is a very helpful Steam guide to help when you're lost.
Abstract
Cursed Town is a small 2D independant game, where you play as a man trying to solve a strange mystery in an abandoned town. The game allows you to explore an abandoned city full of mysteries and terror while telling a rather interesting story set in the present and the past. Overall the game is pretty good but still pretty fast in my opinion with some imperfections (missing settings, weird hitboxes). A fairly quick little game, a successful horror and mystery environment, an interesting story, some imperfections I recommend this game for a quick little adventure
🏆 For the Achievements 🏆
You will have to complete the quests on the game but some are missable ! You can refer on this Guide. ~1h30 to 100%

Complete Evaluation
Something strange is happening... The story is quite interesting, I must say that I wanted to know more throughout the adventure! You will meet several characters and the transition between present mode and the past is quite simple and attractive at the same time. The atmosphere of the game is also quite successful, we quickly feel that something strange and terrifying has happened in this city. The graphics are also quite decent for such a game and do not interfere with the progress of the game. On the technical side, the presence of manual backup available at any time is quite pleasant ! This allows you to create several backups and be able to return to a previous one if you feel lost, for example ! On the bug side, I didn't come across any bugs in over 70 minutes of gameplay and it was totally enjoyable ! The additional game mode is also quite nice: it provides a challenge in terms of completing the story "quickly" and without being fooled by the zombies... I really enjoyed it ! It's too dark in here ! The game doesn't remain perfect unfortunately... The story, although it was interesting, remains quite short for a paid game (in my humble opinion)... And certain events remain quite fishy once the game is over. The additional game mode brings a rather stressful but funny detail at the same time: when you interact with a chest or with an object and a line of dialogue appears, the zombies continue to move and can even stop next to the player without biting him... It's not hugely annoying but it could be improved nonetheless The biggest negative point remains the area of interaction with quest objects which is often too small and imprecise: we often have to find the perfect pixel to interact with an object (to retrieve a key or a book from a table for example) We can also add the lack of brightness options which is quite annoying: on several sequences the screen is much too dark that we can't even see what we are doing or what is 2 meters from the character (and this is quite a shame, even if the staging of the atmosphere is present) Is it the end of this Nightmare ? The game nevertheless remains very satisfying and enjoyable to play ! It is quite neat and will allow you to spend between 1 and 2 hours in a mysterious environment I recommend this little game which I really enjoyed and which was given to me by a friend whom I thank very much!

Fun little game to 100%
This is one of those kinds of games that needed more time in the oven. There's something interesting here, but it never really gets a chance to feel itself out before it just becomes unfun to play. It's not absolute garbage, but it's almost not something I think you should waste your time on, either. Not unless it's practically free.
I am literally disappointed in the game delivery. Apart from its slow gameplay I don't really feel the horror element and slow movement to continue further. However, as this game is still in early access. I hope the devs in developing this implement a running function to make the game faster and fix the cutting out background music. This won't loop back btw and ruins the immersion making the whole game quiet. There are also some typo error i discovered in the first 10 minutes in house with first survivor NPC there that wish to bring something valuable to him. This error is in corner which the main character misspelled "cofee" instead of "coffee". I also would like to bring up the save feature as in the game where you have to open up the inventory and save directly. I hope you change this by making you save to "safe spots" in the game making it more horror inducing. Look at Mad father and MISAO from some inspiration in making it better
