Cursed to Golf

Good but there is a reason the achievement for beating the final boss has a 5.4% unlock rate. Get ready for some tremendous bull for those last levels.

I got this game as a gift but I would pay full price for it. The art is incredible! The gameplay is great but once you get a feel for the power ups it gets too easy. It feels weird for a rogue like not to have that much rng. I finished the game on my third run just because I found out the rocket balls are super op. Great game big recommend.

Ein großartiges Spiel! Ich habe heute meinen ersten vollständigen Run geschafft und es fühlte sich einfach gut an. Davor lag das Spiel eine ganze Weile still und vergessen in der Ecke aber es nochmal aufs Fairway geschafft zu haben hat sich echt gelohnt. :) Das Spiel ist definitiv nicht einfach und kann gewiss auch Frustmomente haben aber wer damit klar kommt und Golf mag sollte auf jeden Fall mal eine Runde wagen.

Pretty fun game. A little too difficult, and I don't think there is much replayability for me personally, but if you use your pins and cards wisely you can get through the game in one piece.

Help yourself with this: DON'T think of this as a golfing game. It's a DIFFICULT strategy-heavy roguelike in which you have to exploit perks and cards to progress. It's an intentionally very unfair golfing game (the bosses man, wtf), NOT just golf with some weird powerups. You'll feel constant pressure of not being able to make mistakes, and still get set back regularly anyways. Card and perk usage needs to be carefully planned out. Most stage hazards don't get explained, cards and perks are vague as well, so you'll have to throw away some runs to figure out what everything does, which isn't fun because a run can take hours. This needed some in-game item/hazards guide. IF this still sounds fun to you, then you are getting a great package: Some of the highest quality pixelart that I've seen, varied biomes, very polished menus and the BGM has some actually memorable Jazz-fusion tracks. Seen some people have complaints about it feeling slow and clunky, but I didn't feel that personally. All in all though, I did misunderstand what Cursed to Golf actually is, and I didn't really enjoy my time. To be fair the game trailer and tags do reflect this pretty clearly, so the blame is on me. Not sure if it's fair to give it thumbs down.
