Reviews
This is only a 'negative review' because one aspect continues to kill this game for me every time I open it, and I want to love it so much. It has a lot of potential to be a great game, but not being able to see the entire hole (except in choppy, cutting away previews) makes it incredibly frustrating. Previous reviews stated rightly "Trying to navigate each hole blindly didn't feel great" and that's spot on. The gameplay itself is fun and challenging but this one hurdle really makes it not FEEL good to play. I enjoy challenge but each time you fail you SHOULD think it's possible if you elevate your game [get good]. This just constantly getting punishes you for not knowing information you don't have access to. Change that aspect and it would jump to a really fun, and difficult (a good thing) puzzle game, with more strategy in your planning (vs having to wing it because you don't know what is in either direction).
Help yourself with this: DON'T think of this as a golfing game. It's a DIFFICULT strategy-heavy roguelike in which you have to exploit perks and cards to progress. It's an intentionally very unfair golfing game (the bosses man, wtf), NOT just golf with some weird powerups. You'll feel constant pressure of not being able to make mistakes, and still get set back regularly anyways. Card and perk usage needs to be carefully planned out. Most stage hazards don't get explained, cards and perks are vague as well, so you'll have to throw away some runs to figure out what everything does, which isn't fun because a run can take hours. This needed some in-game item/hazards guide. IF this still sounds fun to you, then you are getting a great package: Some of the highest quality pixelart that I've seen, varied biomes, very polished menus and the BGM has some actually memorable Jazz-fusion tracks. Seen some people have complaints about it feeling slow and clunky, but I didn't feel that personally. All in all though, I did misunderstand what Cursed to Golf actually is, and I didn't really enjoy my time. To be fair the game trailer and tags do reflect this pretty clearly, so the blame is on me. Not sure if it's fair to give it thumbs down.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

this game fun for you at boring time in your work
It's a good game that suffers from a bunch of problems. I beat the game in about four hours, then went back and beat it two more times to get all the achievements. I can confidently say that the game is fun but suffers from being either too hard and punishing due to poorly communicated mechanics or stupidly easy once you get the hang of it. The tutorial is quite long and filled with fluff that isn't necessary at the start as most people are interested in getting straight into the golf gameplay. And once you're finally done and can actually play the game, the moment you inevitably lose, you are forced back into another tutorial to explain yet another mechanic instead of just doing it from the get-go. And for all of this explaining, they skip over the most important mechanic, that being the Pins, which are the most overpowered thing in the game, enabling you to traverse most of the terrain and at times skip over half of the level. Most of the pins at the start are mediocre, but the shop eventually begins selling the Turn On Pins, which are basically the same as the Ace Cards but with infinite uses. It's such a game changer, yet the game doesn't bother explaining it at all. Once I understood it, I managed to go through the entire game, beating all the bosses in a single run. My tip would be to go through the first few holes, using your cards as you see fit and saving up money; whenever you could go to the shop, do so and immediately look for Turn On Pins, rerolling if there aren't any. The best ones are the ones that let you control your ball, like the U-turn, and those that let you skip over terrain, like the Drill Ball. And herein lies the problem: the turn-on pins are so strong, yet they are unexplained to the player, making the later levels seem impossible. And this leads me to another problem: like all roguelites, RNG plays a factor into your runs; in this case, what pins the shop happens to have in stock, so if you happen to somehow manage to reach world three without a pin that grants mobility, you might as well restart the run. It's unlikely, with how many shops you run into, but the possibility is still there. And finally, the biggest problem with the game is that it's very unbalanced; without the pins, the levels are borderline impossible without you expending all your ace cards just to get through one level, and with the pins, they become so easy it's boring. Some more issues I have with the game: -The final level has a bunch of cutscenes that constantly interrupt your flow, and on repeat playthroughs, you are made to watch the same cutscenes again, and only some of them are skippable while others you can only fast forward through. -The unskippable final set piece before the end result screen -Some bugs here and there, the worst one being a bug that caused the ball to not melt in lava, forcing me to hit it out, only for the lava to drag the ball down again, soft-locking me. Fortunately, I could just use the Mulligan card to get out, and if I ran out of those, I could just close the game from the Steam launcher, boot it up again, and be allowed to restart the level from the beginning. Could be better but it's decent for what it . Get it on sale.
7/10 看著比玩還有趣的高爾夫。
Мда...
one of the best and most unique golf games
Good game, had a lot of fun playing this... Chill vibes and good art style, lots to appreciate 😁
