I started playing Cursed Mansion on my ROG Ally & was a little frustrated at first with the somewhat confusing routes in the game, but mainly because of the enter button not working (resulting in me dying a lot). The game was a much better experience on my computer when playing with a keyboard and mouse. The enter button actually worked so I could actually enjoy the game. Once you get the idea of what you're supposed to do & get a feel for the layout of the mansion, the game is not nearly as difficult or as long as I initially thought. I enjoyed the story & characters & would love to learn more about the mansion and its curse,
along with the mysterious hooded figure we meet.

Game is really good, climat, animations, it is neatly done. But it is unfortunatelly too confusing for me to complete all actions necessary to get blue / red dress.. I've completed simpliest path and maybe after a break I'l come back to this game and with following gameplay step by step I'll open other endings (which gives about 1 hour of game as I saw, so it's quite much). Another drawback is possibility of getting killed in some nooks, in quite distance of saving spot... it would be ok for me, if saving were allowed from menu. 8/10 9/10 after some fixes.
Cursed Mansion explores a ghostly mansion plagued by the spirits cursed to forever suffer for circumstances you unravel in your journey. I enjoyed playing Cursed Mansion, but I also felt that there were things that held it back. Cursed Mansion implements some unique gameplay ideas that I hadn't seen before, it sets up an unsettling opening, there's a santa costume, and a lot of the scenarios were interesting. I found this enough to get me through, and I'd also like to attempt a few playthroughs for alternate endings after I come back to it. There's material, effort, ideas that are worthy of playing for, and I feel like this game is a solid "look what we can do" project. It isn't perfect, but it shows that the creator(s) are working in the right direction. Vagueness is a hurdle for the game, though, and it makes it challenging to play. Some of this vagueness I liked, but I wished that things would have been spelled out a little clearer so that I would be punished if I was not paying attention rather than playing the game like I might any other rpgmaker horror game. As well, the game loses the scariness around the halfway to 3/4ths way point in the game. This makes what remains feel less horror and more fetchquest. I'm glad I played this, and I want to see the creator(s) take what they've learned and make something even better. RPGMaker is all about unique stories, games, ideas, and when Cursed Mansion was playing on that it was exciting to see!
Cursed Mansion is a decent horror game. I love the beginning of this game, it sets a really great atmosphere and makes you feel dread for what‘s to come. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t manage to hold this great atmosphere as nothing tops the beginning scene (which doesn’t make sense considering how we end the flashback in the room). My biggest critique with this game is how dark it is. You can’t see very well and multiple times I‘ve overlooked doors and entrances due to its darkness (which you can’t change). Gameplay-wise I think it’s one of the more unique RPG horror games as the puzzles don’t just consist of finding a code or pressing random buttons. The puzzles all make sense to and are integrated to the story which I appreciate a lot - it made them fun. I also really enjoyed the boss-battle type ending sequence. Although the puzzles are interesting and unique, I wish there was more gameplay. I personally think that all chase-sequences should be controllable by the player and not the character auto-running away. It’s more fun if you can do it yourself. Overall it’s a decent, short horror experience with some cool game mechanics that could be polished even more.
This is a really fun rpg maker horor game that has alot of charm to it and is overall really fun to play :>
loved it even though a few times I got stuck but eventually figured it out. I love pixelated horror rpgs it hard trying to find good ones like this. Also, if you have an Xbox 360 controller it will not work for this game.
