Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 3 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Short version: 43%
This game tries, bless its heart, with a decent voiceover, many locations, a tolerable storyline, and by mixing up hidden object mechanics a bit… but it just doesn’t work as a whole.
Long version:
On first glance, Tales from the Dragon Mountain: The Strix looks like a nice enough hidden object game. And, for the most part, it almost is, but somehow the individual elements just don’t work well together. First, there is the writing: the protagonist learns about her magical heritage, and with the help of a green gnome, she sets out to defeat an Evil Wizard—standard HOG story. The individual scenes are nice, but as a whole, it is just disjointed and short (there is an internal achievement for finishing it under an hour). Then, there is the gameplay. The smaller issue is with the puzzles; they feel lazy and uninspired, something only put there because other HOGs have them. The real problem is with the hidden object scenes, or more like the lack of them: item search is integrated into the main scenery, not separated from the normal exploration. While it may seem like a good idea, sadly the execution is poor, pushing the game into the not recommended category.

https://youtu.be/n7orXVnRptg Puzzles lack in world justification as players collect items without motivation. Supporting characters are disinterested in the game they are part of and take it out on the protagonist.
I got this for a very cheap, cheap price. Probably the worth of 2 pieces of gum and a paperclip, so with that in mind, it was... okay. While it functions enough with some kind of entertainment, I wouldn't exactly feel compelled to tell anyone to buy this in the price it's asking for. Heck, I don't think I could even tell anyone about it even if it was on a bundle. I suppose it just makes for a nice stocking stuffer when you're out travelling since its small size can perfectly compensate tablet computers and mini laptops. I played it thrice to get all the achievements (for some reason it registered that I skipped the dialogue the first time), although this game is actually relatively short---about half an hour long at most without cutscenes. I wouldn't call it a HOG, this is definitely more like a Myst-type puzzle adventure. The graphics remind me of early 90s computer games, so it kind of has a bit of soft spot in my heart; the dialogue albeit cheesy had pretty good grammar and spelling. It's hard to play the game without its item list checker function, especially finding all the sticks in a woodsy background. Without the item list, I would have probably been miserable and frustrated. I don't recommend going in hard mode the first time, where there's no action sparkles and item checker, since you'd likely be tearing your hair out in rage. The puzzles themselves were wayyy too easy, almost... a little broken with how easy they were. It did feel like they didn't even try to make it a challenge. There were too many "arrange the broken bits" segments too, it gets boring the second time round. I dunno, it's a real big shrug for me. It wasn't good per se, but it wasn't godawful either. I didn't really get too frustrated or bored with it. I don't think I could say I hated it, I mean, I did manage to tolerate playing it 3 times for funsies. I don't have the heart to thumb it down when I feel like it didn't really deserve it.
Lokacje i muzyka dają radę, podobnie dubbing.
Quick and easy game. Kinda liked killing time with this one. Relaxing - very. Played it within 15 minutes the second time ... nice for kiddies!
Tales From The Dragon Mountain: The Strix est un mauvais jeu.
