Cult of the Yellow King

I don’t normally play incremental games, but the art style this one drew me in. I like the prestige system in this one. It works kind of like a quest system however, at least in this early stage, I find that cosmic insight and the other main currency accumulate a much faster than the yellow mold so you’ll often just be sitting there waiting for it and maybe it’s we’re just a problem with my copy, but I didn’t seem to be gathering resources when I wasn’t playing the game, but this is all early access so I’ll probably leave a another review when it’s done, I’d still recommend buying it though.

amazing idle game, i've always been a big fan of idle games and a huge fan of Lovecraft and the broader Cthulhu mythos and this game blends both perfectly with a story that is actually very interesting to follow and as a metal head the sound track is amazing, honestly could not ask for a better game saw the game title in a meme with no context and decided to look into it and absolutely stuck gold

Extremely promising so far. I'm not normally a fan of clicker games, but I am a fan of the King in Yellow. This is an impressive implementation of both. Despite having a few mechanical/technical kinks to work out the game itself is solid. As you play an actual story line progresses, which keeps you invested and breaks up the monotony typically found in this kind of game. As you play the screen fills up with excellently grotesque artwork. The black metal soundtrack is excellent, too.

Neat idling game with some cool concepts, however very short. Why a negative review? Placeholder upgrades. Some of those yellow revelation upgrades would have been nice. Shame they're tied to prestige 4, which crashed to desktop. I'm also not making a separate save just to prestige another 5 times for the achievement. If it weren't for the cool aesthetic and sick tunes I would have refunded it. Instead you get to keep my 3$ for a negative review.

This isn't a game: this is a "boot it up and leave it running in the background" app. I kinda hope it's mining crypto: at least then it serves some benefit to someone.
